005.    she's crying!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"I JUST CAN'T GET MY HEAD AROUND IT. The fact that he's gone... forever." Erin sobbed as she looked at a picture of her dead dog, Toto. This was whilst the other five sat on the floor studying for their exam.

Fallon was actually quite bright. She was naturally clever which helped her quite a bit at exams and all that fun stuff. But she physically couldn't study. The thought of it made her anxious. And if she did, she would be smoking a whole pack of cigs.

"It's so sad, it really is. It is so, so sad. But at the same time, what's done is done, so let's crack on." Clare stated, frantically tapping her pen.

A sobbing Erin couldn't believe what she just heard. "Well, I'm sorry, Clare. Has his sudden, tragic death interrupted your studies?"

Clare furiously nodded her head. "It has a bit, actually, yeah."

"How can you be so heartless?" Erin cried.

"I didn't even know she had a dog." Muttered Fallon.

"Don't cry, Erin," Orla began to comfort her cousin. "He's in a better place now. Unless he's not, you know, because unless he's gone to hell."

Michelle frowned, rubbing her head in frustration. "Can we please talk about something else. I'm half torn. This is wrecking my head."

"What? Have you been drinking?" Erin gasped in disbelief.

Michelle pointed over to Fallon. "So has she."

"Seriously, Fallon?"

She shrugged. "Go back to crying about your fucking dog, Erin, and stop judging me."

Erin gasped in disbelief as she clutched onto the picture of Joe and Toto.

Michelle merely rolled her eyes. "And for future reference, if any of you invite me to a study sleepover again and I'm desperate enough to accept that invitation, there's a good chance I'll have a litre bottle of Pernod in my bag."

"I had vodka," Fallon added. "And a pack of cigs."

"I shouldn't even have to sit the exam, on, you know, compassionate grounds." Erin sighed softly.

"When I said go back to crying about your dead dog, Erin," Fallon sighed. "I meant later."

"He was a dog, Erin!" Clare insensitively yelled.

She gasped before shrieked," Toto was much more than a dog. Toto was my best friend." She turned the picture frame around to show them all.

"Christ, I feel a bit bokey." Michelle sniffled and walked over to open the curtains. Once opened, the sunlight came throughout the room.
