Moonstripe's Prophecy

Prologue

Cloudstar pushed past the holly bushes that surrounded the clearing. They were green and glowing with growth, like everything in StarClan. He was on his way to meet Skywatcher. He wondered why the old tom wanted to see him. Did he foresee trouble for SkyClan?
"Cloudstar, I see you have come," rasped a voice from the other side of the clearing. Cloudstar could almost hear the many moons of hardship it had endured.
"Of course, Skywatcher. What did you want to talk about? Is there... A prophecy?" replied Cloudstar. Cloudstar didn't mind delivering prophecies, but they weren't exactly always good news.
"You know me well, Cloudstar. It is true. You must deliver a prophecy once more," answered the ancient gray tom.
He continued gravely, "I see trouble ahead, not for SkyClan, but for one of the other Clans. ShadowClan. And they need SkyClan's help."
Cloudstar scowled.
"ShadowClan was quick to drive SkyClan out of the forest," replied Cloudstar bitterly. Memories flooded him of the night his Clan was driven from the forest.
"Why should SkyClan offer them any help?"
Skywatcher fixed his wise gaze on Cloudstar. "Though we are far from the four other Clans, we still help each other in times of great need. But you know this, surely? Anyhow. Are you aware that Echoheart has just given birth to three kits?" He asked Cloudstar. Cloudstar heard warmth in the old tom's voice, but something more mysterious lurked beneath it.
"Yes, they'll be fine warriors," replied Cloudstar eagerly, relieved they weren't talking about ShadowClan anymore, "Their names are Moonkit, Tigerkit and Larkkit, right?"
"Correct," said Skywatcher,"When Moonkit is apprenticed, you must deliver this prophecy to him: Where there is Darkness, the Moon will always find a way to give light, no matter how far it has to shine."
Cloudstar was confused. "What does it mean?"
"It means, that Moonkit will journey to find the Clans, and save ShadowClan from the dangers that threaten to destroy them."
