It was first period, I entered the potions classroom. Everyone was already there. "Miss Potter, take a seat next to Hermione Granger" Snape said pointing at the seat. She gave me a small smile as I sat down. "In pairs you will be making the amortentia potion. Can anyone tell me what it is" Snape says. Hermione puts her hand up. "Miss Potter can you tell me"
"It's the strongest love potion" I answer already knowing what it was because I taught myself it last year at home. "And what does it do, Miss Granger" Snape asks. "It smells different to each person, to what attracts them" she says confidently. "Correct. 10 points to Slytherin and Gryffindor"
"Nerds" Mattheo says walking in late. "Mr Riddle nice of you to join us take a seat" Snape says. He takes a seat next to me and Hermione. Not once paying attention to the class. Once we finished making the potion Snape says "Who would like to give us a demonstration of how it works. Miss Granger and Miss Potter?" Hermione smells the love potion first. "I smell, freshly mown grass and new parchment and-" She stops and goes bright red. "Miss potter, your turn" Snape says looking at me. I hesitated before smelling the potion. "I smell, cigarettes and cologne" Hermione laughs. "What?" I say confused. I see Riddle smirking out the corner of my eye. 'Seriously' I thought to myself, I'm never going to live this down.
After class me and Hermione are walking down the halls when we see Harry with one of his friends. I think it's Ron Weasley from what Hermione has told me and I think that's who she smelt in the potion. "Hey guys" Harry says. "Y/n its so great to see you again" he hugs me. "You too little brother" I laugh
"We are the same age!"
"Nope i am a whole 2 minutes older than you little brother" Ron and Hermione laugh, Harry doesn't look pleased. We walk to the great hall together for lunch. I sit down with them while we eat as none of the other Slytherins where there yet. Someone comes up behind me and says "Hello love." It's that annoying Riddle kid again. "What do you want Riddle?" I respond. Harry and Ron look at me confused while Hermione is laughing. "Oh nothing Potter" He smirks and walks over to the Slytherin table. "What was that about?" Harry says while Hermione is still laughing. "She smelt him in the amortentia potion earlier." She says laughing still. "It's not funny" I say with an annoyed expression. "It really is" Ron says him and Harry now laughing. "You lot are so annoying" I say now laughing with the other three. "What are you lot laughing about" two ginger boys say as they walk up to us. I give the other three looks as to say to them not to tell them. "Nothing" Harry says. "I'm George and this is Fred" One of them says looking at me. "Ahh the Weasley twins" I say. "What's that supposed to mean?" Fred asks. "Oh nothing" I say smiling. After lunch we all go to our lessons, which was quite boring as it was dada. I walked back to the common room with Pansy and we both sat on the sofa talking about our days. I didn't tell her about what happened in potions as I didn't want everyone to know. Later that evening the boys joined me and Pansy in the common room. They where all talking but I wasn't paying attention, I was just thinking about random things and how I missed my friends back in the muggle world. "What are you thinking about" Theodore said breaking me out of my daydream. "Nothing, I'm just tired." I respond. Draco and Tom get up and go back there dorms while the rest of us stay in the common room for a bit longer before deciding to go to bed. When me and Pansy got to our dorm she said "Did you notice Mattheo staring at you the entire time down there"
"Nope didn't notice" I lied of course I noticed.
