Makoto PoV

"Come on, my family aren't that scary." I laughed. "I mean, it's a bit late now we're at the door.

"I know but... I don't spend time with your family."

"Well now you will, come on."

I grabbed his hand and i knocked on the door.

Komaru met us at the door.

"Makoto!!!" She squealed.

"Hey, Komaru! It's been a while." I laughed.

I haven't seen her in a few months. Work and dealing with my own life.

"I'm so happy you're both here. Mom and dad got a bunch of food for a buffet." She giggled.

"Wait, who else is coming?" I asked.

"A few cousins I think. Maero is coming." Komaru rolled her eyes.

"Ooo, our least favourite cousin." I laughed.

Komaru laughed with me.

"We can avoid him together." She seemed to perk up, remembering something. "Our room is the same as you left it."

"Our room!" I look back at Byakuya and take his hand. "Come see my, sort of, childhood room."

"Alright." He smiled.

We went up to our bedroom, our beds still in bunk beds and as she said, everything was left in place.

"Wait, where's my baby?" I asked, putting my hands on my hips.

"Wait, what?" Byakuyas head shoots up from where he was looking.

"He'll be downstairs." Komaru shrugged.

Instantly, I left the room and nearly ran and fell down the stairs.

"Hey, sweetie!" My mom smiled as I came down the stairs. "Oh, hello, Byakuya! Its been a while."

"Hello." Byakuya said, still following me.

"Hey, go talk to my mom or something." I shrugged.

"About what?" He mumbled.

"I dunno, ask how she is or something."

He sighed, and hesitantly agreed and followed her into the kitchen.

And then, I saw him.

"Pookieee!!!" I squealed.

My family dog waddled up to me, his little butt shaking with pure excitement.

I swooped his small body into my arms and gave him snuggles.

"Ooh you're so fluffy!... and smelly..." I giggled.
