If tomorrow starts without me,
Weep not before my grave,
Remember always I am here,
In every word you say.

If tomorrow starts without me,
Don't cry at my absence,
Remember always I am here,
In every beat of your heart.

I am the winds which blow from the north,
I am the rays of the sun glistening upon the placid lake,
I am the waves of the oceans worldwide,
And the colour of the leaves so green.

I am the song of the cuckoo bird,
I am the dance of the peacock,
I am here amongst the stars so bright,
In the beams of the moon, benign.

I am the ever-burning ember,
The sound of the temple bells,
I am the offerings made to the lord,
And the fragrance of the incense.

I am the flowers that bloom each morning,
I am the newborn child,
I am the rains that douse you wet,
I am the evening star.

I am the sand upon which you tread,
I am the oasis that quenches the vagrant's thirst,
I am there in every corner of your mind,
In every breath you take.

I am there in your tears,
In your dreams and prayers,
I am there in the echo of your laughter,
In your smile so gay.

Separated we are not,
Neither did I die,
Maybe my body has rotted,
But have I?

Thus, if tomorrow starts without me,
Weep not before my grave,
Remember always I am here,
In every particle of this terrain.
