Life and death
Two commas or two periods?
In-between so many questions
Never understood, unanswered.
When I was young
I thought of aging
Why it happens
Or if we can reverse it.
I thought of stars
Balls of flame
Akin to us
Yet so different.
Then I wondered
About love's magic
How it happens
Or what makes it persist.
I thought of birth
The flame of passion
That leads to creation
Of a life within another.
So many more thoughts
I had about life
What happens next
Or if there's an after.
Now I lay
Upon my deathbed
I swear I can see
The hem of the reaper's cloak.
Is it the truth
Or just another fallacy of my mind?
