HAPPY NEW YEARS (special)

Rui, Nene, Emu, and I walked to the shrine. Emu was bouncing up and down so much she looked like a balloon with her colorful kimono. Nene was keeping her head down and blushing, trying to pretend she didn't know Emu, who was embarrassing them. I chuckled.

Rui was busy making some kind of robot in his hand. Hopefully it doesn't disrupt anyone during our shrine visit by causing a wreck.

We approached the bell and rang it. Two bows, two claps.

"I WANT EVERYONE TO SMILE!" Emu screamed while praying.

"Please let my new year be normal...." Nene muttered, just enough so Emu could hear her.

I saw Rui grin and then bow. I wonder what his prayer was. On second thought, maybe I don't want to know.

"Let's go buy Omamori!" Emu exclaimed, quickly followed by Nene and Rui in agreement.

I was still in front of the shrine.
"One second, I'll be right there!" I called out to them. They agreed and walked away.

I looked around and saw everyone smiling, having a great time. I saw people look in surprise as they took a bite of the delicious food. I saw people groan as they got Bad Fortunes. I smiled to myself and closed my eyes to finish my prayer.

"Please, let me have the ability to make everyone happy."

I bowed and then ran after my friends, calling after them.

We went and bought Omamori, and then we ate the delicious food there! Emu and Rui were trying to see who could eat more food, but Nene and I stopped them. I couldn't help but laugh.

--night--

Emu was almost asleep, Nene next to her making sure she didn't face-plant onto the floor.
"Well, Tsukasa?" Rui asked me.
"Well what?" I replied in confusion.
"Well, did your prayer come true?" He asked again.

I looked over to Emu, who was mumbling some nonsense while half-asleep. Even Nene was laughing.
Rui looked at them and then looked at me, smiling.

I let out a small sigh, and I smiled back.

"Yeah, I think it did."

I didn't even question how he knew my prayer.

Happy New Years everyone!!! Srry this wasn't posted on the day of New Years, but oh well. Anyways I wanted to thank everyone who read my story becuase it's my first one and it's kinda trash lol
Anyways I wanted to let you know that my school is starting again tomorrow so I might post less often so just keep that in mind I'll try to post 1 or 2 times a week
