...

"Catch me if you can." I elbowed him and dropped into the water "Of course I can." was the last thing I heard him say before he started following me.

...

We went on for a couple of minutes, the fact that he did not give up surprised me since I'm faster than him.
I was so concentrated on not going into anything that I didn't notice how Lo'ak almost reached me.

Then suddenly he took my arm and dragged me towards him making me lose balance and getting off my Ilu's back.
When I turned around I could see how close we were, he still had his hand wrapped around my upper arm and he was giggling, that's one of a kind view to see.

He pulled me towards the surface, and out of the water he was still catching his breath from laughing.
"You are really fast, how did I even get to catch you?" he smirked teasingly "I was just too concentrated on where I was going. You just got an easy win." I said crossing my arms.

He hummed and raised an eyebrow jokingly "Then I hope you will be concentrated on where you are going when we'll go back too, 'cause I have no idea where we are." he said looking around and I did the same.

Now, I know the ocean well, but I think we got kind of lost "Well, I know where we are so don't worry." I tried my best to lie.
"Is there a reason why you wanted me to catch you?" he asked, I didn't know how to respond to that.
"No." he looked confused "Come on. As I said, you can open up to me." he placed his hand on his chest.

"Fine, maybe there is something I wanted to tell you.." I said looking away "See? It wasn't so hard, now tell me everything." this guy was just too straightforward it made me kind of nervous "I want to get to know you better too." I mumbled quietly "Y/N, if you don't speak up I can't understand you." he said trying to look me into my eyes.

"I said I want to get to know you better too." I said more confidently "Oh, yeah of course! What do you want to know." he just gets weirder and weirder.
I started chuckling at his behavior and he just frowned "What's so funny?"

"No, nothing. I guess I want to know your favorite color and your hobbies." he chuckled "Pulling the same card are we? Okay then, my favorite color is green and my hobby is annoying the shit out of Neteyam." he smiled proudly.

I should've imagined it "Ok, next question." he looked at me "How was it back in your clan? I know it's a tough question, so you're not obligated to answer." I smile comfortingly watching him drop his smile.

"No, don't worry." he gave me a weak smile "I kind of miss it, everyone I know is there. I just miss swinging through trees honestly and I miss my ikran." he pouted a little.

"I know what you mean, like you don't feel accepted here and just miss what it used to be like." his eyes lit up "Exactly, I thought I was going crazy but you at least know what I feel." he smiled feeling heard by someone.
"Just so you know, it goes the same for you. If you want to open up, I'll be here and I will act like I heard nothing." I said stroking his arm. I was too searching for physical contact.

He took my hand with his and analyzed me closely, his gaze shifted from my left and right eye repeatedly "Thank you." he said beaming. I returned the gaze "You know Tulkuns are coming soon right?" I asked.

He watched me curiously "Of course I know, I'm not dumb." I giggled at his response "Well, that means you can meet my spirit sister." his look changed to an excited one "Yeah, that's right! Now I can't wait, all your fault Y/N."

His fake sad face was hilarious.

But then I remembered he met Payakan "How did you find Payakan by the way." I know he and the others talked about how we were told about the male Tulkun killing other Tulkuns and Na'vi, however, he seemed confident about stating the contrary, how it was just a misunderstanding.

"Well, he saved me from one of those Akula things. I honestly thought I was going to die if he didn't show up." he explained "And I don't agree on what the others said, he isn't a murderer." he added angrily.

I sighed "We were told these things Lo'ak, and of course, we believed them for all these years." he was about to say something but I interrupted him "But he saved you, and I'm grateful for that." I smiled.

"You are grateful I'm alive." he stated teasingly "What? No! I'm grateful knowing that Payakan isn't a murderer!" I was obviously lying and he hummed in response "Yeah, sure I believe you."
I punched him lightly on his arm "I'm serious!" he just laughed at my reaction.

"Now come on miss 'I know where we are', let's go back to the village, you've had too much fun." I chuckled at his comment "What are you, my father?" he was holding his laughter and ignored me.

I called my Ilu back to me and started looking for the right direction. It took a while and having Lo'ak commenting on everything wasn't helping at all, but in the end, we made it to the beach next to the village where Tsireya and his brother were.

"You can go Lo'ak, I'll stay here and talk to Reya." he looked at Ao'nung emotionless and then glanced at me grinning "See you tomorrow?" he asked, "See you tomorrow." I waved at him goodbye and watched him disappear into the village.

When Lo'ak was gone Tsireya launched at me "Care to explain where were you both?" she almost screamed "Calm down, we just talked. I swear." she smiled "Oh sure, you did." I sighed at her comment.

"You know he just brings trouble, right?" I heard Ao'nung say, I looked him straight in the eyes "If I chose to have Lo'ak as my friend is part of my business Ao'nung, keep minding yours." he rolled his eyes at me.
"Ignore him Y/N, just tell me what you did while you were gone!" Tsireya took my hands excitedly.

"We just asked each other some questions to know one another better, that's all." she seemed satisfied with the answer.

"What are your thoughts on him now since you know him a bit better?" thoughts..
What do I think of Lo'ak after spending most of my day with him? He seemed like a great person, so that was a success, but there was something that I couldn't stop thinking about;

"His smile is adorable."

...

A/N: More communication with Lo'ak guys!! And of course, some time alone to get to know him better.
These chapters are going a bit slow but I swear this is all part of my plan!
