Nico's Point

I stood by an archway dressed in royal clothes as the Princess spoke to the many towns people outside

"My dear people ... a month from today, we will have the 500th anniversary of our country. On that day as the sunsets, I shall marry a gentleman who had been a commoner like all of you. I hope you can look at him now and see that he is no longer common but a prince worthy to rule by my side." The Princess spoke with pride making me feel sick

"Would you all like to see him?" The Princess asked

"Yes!" The crowd shouted

"I give you Prince Nico!" The Princess shouted happily and I slowly walk out the acrh down a red rug with gold trim and outside to the crowd of towns people.

A lot of people dream of being a prince or a princess someday but I felt nothing but emptiness as everyone looked at me.

None of them knew that I was only here because the law gave the Princess the right to choose who she would marry, and none of them knew that I didn't and could never love her.

After a few moments I walked back inside and shortly after the Princess came up to me.

"What's wrong my dearest? You never once smiled for the people" The Princess said

"And I never will" I said

"Oh come, don't be like that" The Princess said

"You know I don't want this" I said

"Many people don't love each other when they marry, but then grow to love each other" The Princess said

"I won't and can't grow to love you, I'm not interested in women" I said

"I can change that" The Princess said

"No you can't. I'm going for a ride now. Or dose the law allow you to deny me that?" I said bitterly

"I wish you wouldn't speak like that, I only want what's best for you" The Princess said

"Drew" I said coarsely know full well that it was extremely rude to call her only by her first name.

"Fine, you may go" Drew said with a smile but I could I had struck a cord and her smile was forced.

I left without another word and made my way to the stables. After getting my horse ready I rode off out of the town.

As I rode out to an open field I stopped for a moment as I saw the sun high in the clear blue sky.

It was beautiful but painful because the sky reminded me of Will's eyes and the sun remained me of his hair and warm personality.

"I miss you" I whispered softly. I then wiped the tears that had started to fall and continued with my ride.

I rode all the way to the forest then I slowed from a gallop to a trot.

The forest way quiet and still without anyone else to be seen like it always was but after a few minutes I saw three man standing and stopped when one waved at me.

The 3 man looked nothing alike, on the left was a tall more stocky built man with black close cut hair and brown eyes, he may have been someone people found intimidating were it not for his babyish face. In the middle stood a tall and skinny man with blond hair and blue eyes that had a crazy glitt to them and the one on the left looked kinda like a elf since he was shorter then the other two and had pointy ears. His hair was curly and black and his eyes were dark brown and he had a slim more scrawny build

"A moment of your time, Sir?" The Blonde asked

I was a little weary of the three men but curious so I stopped a little away from them.

"We lost our way while traveling. Do you know where the nearest village is?" The Blonde asked and I looked behind me and pointed

"If you go that way for about 10 miles you'll find it" I said before turning back towards them

"So there's nothing or no one close by?" The Blonde asked

"Afraid not" I said

"Good, then no will hear you if you scream" The Blonde said and I realized to late that the other tell one had moved to my side and before I could do anything he pulled me off of my horse and pinched a spot on my neck then everything went black
