Will's Point
I watched as the Crocodile transformed into Frank and looked down at Leo
"Gods, that doesn't look good" Frank said
"What this?" Leo asked, looking down at his stomach
"Na, I'm fine" Leo said, but I could see that he was going pale from losing blood.
"Frank's right. It's not good, and we need to get you to help" I said
"You know I thought someone had caught you" Frank said, looking at me.
"Sorry about that" I said
"I see you found your fiancée" Frank said before looking over at Drew
"And tied up the princess" Frank added
"I was tired of watching her act like she was all that" Nico said in an agitated tone
"Do any of you know a place where we can take Leo?" Nico asked
"What happened to trying to kill me?" Leo asked sarcastically
"You saved Will's life" Nico said
"We could go back to Asclepius" Frank said
"We don't have any money left" Leo said
"Don't worry about money, I can cover that part" Nico said
The fact that he was willing to do so much for someone simply because they had help me showed me just how much he cared about me and it warmed my heart.
"We need to go now if we to give him the best chance of making it there alive" I said
"Do you think you can get up" Frank asked Leo
"Honestly, no" Leo said
"There's no need, I can get us to the stables without you having to move too much" Nico said, and although I hated the idea of him shadow-traveling with so many people, I knew it was the only way.
Nico got up, then reached down for my hand, and as I held out my hand, I thought he was going to help me stand but instead, he lifted me into his arms.
"it'll be best if your hold Leo" Nico said
"hold him?" Frank asked with fear in his voice
"Well, neither Will nor Leo can ride by themselves, and I'm not allowing Will to leave my side" Nico said
"I..." Frank said pausing for a moment as he looked at Leo
"Alright, but I need you to hold something for me" Frank said, pulling a small pouch out of his pocket.
"what is it?" I asked
"The reason I'm alive. I can't risk it catching on fire" Frank said
"And Leo can set himself on fire" I said
"Right" Frank said
"I don't know you could light yourself on fire. But we'll keep it safe" Nico said
Frank carefully handed over the pouch as if it truly was his life sorce the he lend down to pick up Leo
"Even though I don't have that I would still appreciate you not bursting into flames" Frank said
"I can try" Leo said in a joking way but his voice was now very weak sounding he also let out a scream of pain as Frank lifted him
"We need to hurry" I said looking up at Nico
"You think you can grab Frank's arm?" Nico asked
"I have strength enough to do that" I said
"Wait! You can't leave me tied up here!" Drew yelled
"That's right, I did forget something" Nico said looking at Drew before he walked over to the mirrored vanity he then opened a drawer with a little difficulty since he was holding me and took out some expensive looking jewelry and pocketed it.
"Fair warning, you may feel sick" Nico said. As he walked back over to Frank and Leo.
I then reached over and grabbed Frank's arm and Nico shadow travel us away.
I'm not sure if it was because it had been years since I'd shadow travel, if it was how weak I was at the moment, or a combination of the two. But this time felt five times worse.
As we arrived at the stables I almost lost consciousness and what strength I had gained back drained away
"Will!" Nico yelled as I went almost completely limp in his arms
"I'm fine" I said
"You know lying isn't your strong suit" Nico said
"We need to focus on getting Leo help" I said
"Frank and him can ride ahead" Nico said
"No, we need to stay together. In case something happens" I said
"How long is it going to take to get to this place?" Nico asked looking at Frank
"It shouldn't take to long on horseback" Frank said.
"We don't have time to saddle up the horses so I hope you're ok riding bareback" Nico said
"I'll manage" Frank said
"Let's hurry then" Nico said.
Nico lead Frank into the stables and told him which horse would be best then after the small struggle of getting me and Leo on to the horses Nico and Frank got on behind us and we rode off.
As we rode I could tell Nico was having a hard time keeping me up with one hand and guiding the horse with the other but he never once complained and after what seemed like forever we made it to small hut with a small flame glowing on the inside.
Nico and Frank dismounted then took me and Leo off and I could see a good amount of red now stained Frank's clothes from holding Leo. Who was pale and had his eyes closed.
We quickly went to the door and Nico noticing Leo's worsening condition and set me down by the door and knocked loudly.
After a moment a man looked through a small opening in the door and shut it the moment he saw us and opened the door itself.
The man had a kind face with salt-and-pepper hair, a nice well trimmed beard and crinkle around his eyes.
The man smiled when he saw me and Nico picked me back up but then his smile faded when he saw Leo.
"You can heal him right?" I asked
"Come in quickly" the man said Ushering us in before he closed the door behind us.
