"Guard!" I yelled as I sat in my office
"Yes, Your Highness?" A guard asked as they walked in.
"Bring me the head guard" I said
"Yes, your highness" the guard said before leaving.
A few moments later the head guard came in.
"You wished to see me your highness?" The guard said
"Yes, I've just heard of something and I know I can trust you to keep it a secret so the people don't panic" I said and the head guard nodded and lend in close
"I've just heard that our enemy has killers hiding in the Thieves' Forest that plan to murder my groom the night of our wedding" I said
"I have spys in many places and I've not heard anything about this" The head guard said
I was about to say something then Nico walked in
"Have you heard anything from Will?" Nico asked
"You most give the ships time my angel" I said
"He's going to come. And don't call me that" Nico said before he walked out
"I'll not take any chances, when the day of the wedding come I want you to arrested everyone living there and make sure it's empty" I said
"As you wish" The head guard said.
Leo's Point
I sat outside the run down house of Octavian drinking. Sure I hated the guy but I wasn't sure where else to go.
Guards were everywhere forcing people out of their home and taking them away. Suddenly one of the guards walked up to me.
"You there! You're under arrest" The guard said but I ignored him
"Did you not hear what I said?! Put down your drink and come with me" The guard said
"No" I said before I took and big drink.
"If you don't come peacefully I'll have to use force" The guard said
"I came back here because I've nowhere else to go, try and move me" I said
"You think a drunk like you can fight a royal guard?" The guard asked
"Más como un culo real" I said taking another drink
"That's it!" The guard yelled before he charged at me.
I quickly drew my sword and blocked the sword he had drawn then I stood up which was a bad idea because the world started to spin.
The guard charged me again but I side stepped just in time. Unfortunately I didn't have very good balance and fell backwards into a barrel breaking it in the process.
The guard smiled and went to attack me but then he was knocked out of the way by a large brown bear then the bear turned into Frank who lend down and helped me up by my arm
"Hey, Frankie...I didn't know you had a twin" I said as I looked at him and the man next to him who looked exactly the same.
"How much have you had to drink?" Frank said looking down at the empty bottles on the ground
"My life is a wreck. Octavian said that I would go back to where I was before without him and here I am, friendless and homeless" I said
"We need to sober you up" Frank said
"Phbphbphbphbpht, I'm fine" I said blowing a raspberry
"I'll just let you go then" Frank said as he let go of my arm
"Yeah, I can walk on my-" I started to say as I begin to walk away but then I stumbled and fell face first in the dirt.
"Come on" Frank said as he helped me up once again and then walked me away.
Frank brought me to what I guessed was his house and sat me down on a chair then he walked away and came back with some food.
"Eat, you'll feel better" Frank said
"Bread?" I asked
"It should help sober you up" Frank said
"Why dose it matter?" I asked
"Because I have important information to tell you" Frank said
"About what?" I asked
"The man with the scar" Frank said
"What?!" I yelled as I quickly stood up
"Do you know where he is?" I asked
"Yes" Frank said
"Then let's go!" I yelled as I started to walk away but I stumbled again, luckily Frank caught me before I hit the ground this time.
"You need to be sober before you go anywhere" Frank said
"Know any way I can sober up fast?" I asked
"I know of one but-" Frank started to say but I cut him off.
"Ok, what do I need to do" I asked
"Are you sur-" Frank started to say but I cut him off again
"Yes" I said
"Ok" Frank said.
He help me stand then walked outside and over to some rain buckets and began to dunk my head back and forth
"Ok, OK ok!" I yelled after a little
"So tell me what you know" I said
Frank walked back inside and sat down. Once I joined him he began to talk.
"After the man in the mask told me he wasn't going to harm the prince I left to to find you since he had said that he knocked you out. When I didn't find you I got a bad feeling about what was going to happen with the man in the mask and the prince so I turned back and followed them" Frank said
"You followed them?" I asked
"Yes. I saw the Octavian was gone and that the royal guards and the princess were closing in on them" Frank said
"Guess it's a good thing we weren't with him" I said
"The man in the mask and the prince went through the fir swamp to get away from them but they were caught as the exited. The prince agreed to go with them if the didn't hurt the man who was no longer wearing a mask but as he left the princess told a man with a scar on one eye to take the man to the pit of despair" Frank said
"So the guy I've been looking for has been at the palace this whole time?" I asked a little frustrated
"Seems so" Frank said
"Let's go then" I said
When we had the palace gates in view we saw that there was 50 some guards guarding it.
"How many of the guards do you think you can take out?" I asked
"Not that many" Frank said
"Maldición, we need a plan" I said
"Octavian was the one who usually made the plans" Frank said
"Then we need to find the man in the mask, he obviously out smarted Octavian" I said
Next chapter won't be a fun one in the beginning just a heads up
