Story type: Character X Character, slight fluff & angst

Shadow boringly and bitterly looked into the window, wishing to see their friend. But no sight. They sighed as they watched the rain with sadness.

The door opened and slight cyan light shined in. Shadow knew it was Guiding Light, either way they would disappear, just like they always do.

—Waiting for your friend? — Guiding Light took a shape of a humanoid silhouette made out of light. — For Window?

—Yes, is there a problem? — Shadow hissed, they seemed annoyed. — It's not like you would care.

—Shadow, I do care-

—Really? Then why can't I meet other entities? Why do I have to hide? — Shadow was acting aggressive towards the light entity.

—You know the answer. — Guiding Light replied calmly.

—Because I can't be seen and nobody knows what I'm capable of. — Shadow hissed again.

—No.

—Huh?

—Look for yourself. — Guiding Light crossed his arms. — You. It's you're the one who doesn't want to show up. Shadow, dear, stop making yourself a victim, you're not under anyone's pressure. You're just pressing on yourself.

As Guiding Light said that, Shadow went silent. They continued looking into the raining window, without saying any words. Shadow crossed their arms as they growled. After that the sky outside painted into blood color.

Shadow waited for Guiding Light to start yelling, but the light entity stayed silent. It even surprised Shadow.

—I'm sorry. — Guiding Light's voice echoed, as he already was behind Shadow.

—It's okay. You're absolutely right. — Shadow sighed, as they continued watching the bloody sky. — I really am playing victim, as if I'm being kept captive. But in reality, it's just me pressing myself because even I don't know what am I capable of. I blame myself in the curse we all have to bear.

—Don't blame yourself in things you're not responsible of. — Guiding Light grabbed Shadow's hand. — Please, dear.

—But.. But what if I am? — Shadow's voice sounded scared. — What am I? A shadow, and you're a light. But you're just a little, flickering and fading light in the darkness, where shadows roam. — After they said these words, the lights flickered. — Do you not see?

—You're being too harsh on yourself. — Guiding Light wrapped his arms around Shadow. — Please, don't bother yourself with these thoughts. We're all going crazy here, you're not alone. If you finally decide to show up in front of others, they'll gladly accept you, I want you to know it.

—But what if not? — Shadow was almost in panic. — What if they'll accuse me in being the reason we're stuck here?

—Then you'll be with me. You have me. — Guiding Light replied, as he hugged Shadow tighter. —Calm down, dear, everything's going to be okay. You have me, I have you. I'll always be by your side, even if it doesn't look like that. Where the light is, there the shadow is.

—But if light can't exist without the shadow, then the shadow can. — Shadow sighed and finally turned around to hug Guiding Light. — Are you really sure in your words, knowing what chaos can I bring?

—Oh, you're nothing compared to Glitch, dear. — Guiding Light chuckled, enjoying Shadow's giggles.

Shadow lied their head on Guiding Light shoulder, ignoring the fact that the bright light blinds them. They enjoyed his company, it's all that matters.

—You're my star, you're my light at the end of the tunnel. — Shadow murmured, as they tried to back away from Guiding Light, but he didn't let them go. — Let me go.

—No. — Guiding Light protested.

—Yes.

—No!

—Yes!

—I will not! — Guiding Light stared into Shadow's soul.

—You will! — Shadow did the same.

They both went silent for a moment as they bursted out laughing, like two idiots.

—I'm sorry! — Guiding Light said through tears of joy. — Why are we so dumb?

—You're the idiot here! — Shadow giggled as they suddenly gave Guiding Light a soft kiss.

—No, you are! — Guiding Light kissed Shadow back.

Now, just to distract themselves, they would mess with each other. Giving each other soft and quick kisses was quite fun and sweet. They continued laughing and kissing each other.
