Story type: Character X Character, fluff
Shadow was sitting on the floor, looking at the ceiling. Maybe they could crawl on the ceiling again, though they already did it multiple times today. Just like everyday.
Shadow's main objective is to be never seen. That's what Guiding Light tells them. That's why no one except for Guiding Light and Glitch know about them. Yet even Guiding Light is unaware of all abilities Shadow has.
Knock-knock.
Shadow sensed strange feeling of someone's presence. They instantly wanted to disappear, but instinctively turned around.
Just a wall, just a window. And a glowing smile.
Shadow looked at the someone behind the window with curiousity. They stood up, looking at the smiling entity. Was it cold outside? Probably it was, it's always raining.
Whoever was that, they smiled at Shadow, finally getting their attention.
That someone, actually, was Window.
Shadow reached out to Window, just to feel the forever cold glass instead. The only obstacle between them.
Window placed his hand on the same part of the glass, just from the different side, from his side.
Their looks met as they froze in this position, quietly studying each other and wondering. Wondering, if there is any danger from the entity at the other side of the glass.
Shadow tried to smile, just like Window did. That caught the other entity's attention and he moved closer to the window, almost laying his whole torso on it.
Shadow made a step back, as they got scared. Their looks locked on each other again, and Shadow walked to the window again.
They weren't sure if they can hear each other, but they didn't bother to try. These two kept watching each other, as if they're seeing such a wonderful sight.
They would stare at each other for ages, if not Shadow's need to hide.
No words were heard, no words were needed.
Looks and silence could tell them a lot about each other, especially about their personality.
Window's look fell on the room, where Shadow was sitting.
He smiled even wider and knocked on the window again, yet after that he pointed his finger on his own self.
-Window! - Shadow was first one to finally speak after such a long silence.
They didn't hear each other, but by Shadow's body language, Window understood that Shadow got it. He smiled even brighter as he pointed his finger at Shadow now, his smile got replaced by curiousity.
Shadow was shy at first, but then they started to look around. They instantly ran for a book and brought it to the window. Window's attention was fully taken by Shadow and their doings.
Shadow lifted up the book and tried to point at the shadow under it.
Window had to wonder for some time, as he didn't understand the meaning of this at first. But then, a smile sparkled on his face once again.
-Shadow! - he giggled, knowing that they can't hear him.
But the door suddenly opened, and Shadow disappeared in count of seconds.
Window quietly watched two other entities enter the room, as his mood got instantly ruined. He looked around to find another window.
He already saw a black silhouette in it, and he knew.
Shadow was waiting for him.
I enjoyed writing about these two, but no ideas lol
