„prologue"
Charlotte Harker, also known as Charlie, was walking her two year old German Shepard, reign, when the apocalypse started.
She watched a lot of people run for their lives, not noticing her dog, starting off in a run too.
Charlie immediately chased after her , who stopped abruptly in front of a car, not doing was Charlotte expected her to do.
The twenty-four year old woman got reign when she was only a puppy, to protect her from everything she couldn't protect herself from, two years later she became her best friend.
But right now Reign was barking at a person in a red suv, while Charlie took the chance to take her dogs leash once again.
When she looked in the car, fear overcome her. The 'person' sitting in there had a glass stuck in her throat and was growling at them, blood was everywhere and it was the scariest thing she ever saw, and she already saw some pretty scary things.
Charlie started screaming at the sight of it, while reign continued to bark at it. After they heard a branch snap, coming from the woods right to her side, she saw another creature like the one in the car, stumbling towards them.
The brunette, quickly followed by her dog which leash she was still holding, started running towards her home, to hide there.
from the news she heard- people are coming back to life and being cannibals, stay in your house as longs as possible and be safe!
for months it was just the two of them, doing everything to survive. killing the undead, eating snakes, drinking creek water.
and after six months, yes charlie has been counting, a men with only one arm found her, cuddling with her dog, next to a tree, as dusk settled.
