After the 'incident' that happened last week, me and Connor have been communicating a lot more. I just make sure he's doing alright, which I shouldn't be doing, and he just responds with one of his pick up lines.
We haven't been seeing each other in person though, because of winter break.
Speaking of winter break, the charity ball is tomorrow, and Brooklynne won't stop talking about it. Saying 'she'll make me meet her colleagues and everyone will be so excited'.
I'm not sure if she's being this nice to me just so that at the end of the day she can dump me in the dumpster, or shoot me with pistol in front of the whole ball.
Or she just being plain out kind.
It's just so confusing with her.
I closed my room door and sat on the bed with my laptop. It's been a long time since I-
"HEY SISTA!" Genesis ripped the door open and came strolling in with a man next to her. "Evie, this is Gary, Gary meet Evie. But she's Everleigh to you." She told him.
Gary nodded his head and smiled. "Hi. Everleigh."
"Hey."
Gen's phone rang. "Oh let me quickly take this." And she left the room. And that left me and Gary alone in the room.
Awkard silence.
"So, you're in high school?" He asked.
I nodded my head, and he nodded back. "Genny talks about you a lot." He said.
"Oooh, so we calling her Genny now?" I asked him smirking. He shyly looked away.
"We met at a coffee shop 10 minutes away from here. When I saw her I instantly fell in love." He said smiling.
I internally rolled my eyes. Typical way of falling in love.
He rubbed the back of his neck, and continued. "I was with one of my friends and he noticed I was looking at her. He told me to walk up to her, but I was too scared to. It's been a long time since I dated someone..." His eyes dropped as if he was remembering a recent memory.
"I- I have trust issues since the last one... kind of betrayed me in a way."
"I saw her again at the mall and..." He smiled at me. "I guess it just started."
"I'm so happy for you guys." I said.
"She told me you really need some love life of your own." I laughed and shrugged. "I don't know, I guess I do."
"I think I might meet her to my mom tomorrow."
"Oh so we getting serious now?" I said.
Gen came rushing into the room. "Oh god, what did I miss?"
