Part 2 Phan - Heartbroken

Today was the day of Dan's funeral. As I walked into the church I saw that everyone had followed my instructions to put cat whiskers on their faces. I watched as his family said their speeches. Then it was my turn. I stood up and walked by Dans coffin. I wiped the tears away and began to speak.

"Well, I never ever thought that I would have to be at Dans funeral. I always thought that he would be at mine. I can't believe that someone would want to take away my precious Dans life. Yes for all of you who didn't know Dan and me were together for his last moments. I just wish that we had more time to be together. I don't understand why someone would do such a heartless thing to someone who had his whloe life before him." Tears began to pour.

" I'm sorry that I couldn't save him. I tried. I really did but I guess it wasn't enough to save him. It wasn't enough to save my Dan." I finished my speech and walked over to Dans coffin.

I saw my brave Dan lying still and lifeless. I pulled out lion from my pocket.

" Protect my precious Dan." I said.

" I love you Dan." I said kissing Dans cold pale forehead.

I suddenly awoke in my room. I couldn't breathe. I was having a panic attack.

My chest began to close up along with my airways. I fell off my bed and hugged my knees to my chest.

Suddenly Dan ran into my room and knelt in front if me.

" Hey Phil. Calm your breathing down. Deep breaths. In and out." Dan said worriedly.

I listened to Dan and slowed my breathing to a steady pace.

" What happened Phil?" Dan asked me still shaken up about how I was.

" You died." I said.

Dan engulfed me in a hug.

" I'm still here Phil. It was just a nightmare." Dan said stroking my hair.

"I love you Dan." I told him not thinking.

" I love you too Phil." Dan replied.

" No I love love you Dan. Romance love." I explained.

"Phil I have loved since I laid my eyes on your adorable face. You are just an amazing human being. Look after yourself. I love you Phillip Michael Lester, I always have and always will." Dan said.

" That was what you said before you died." I told Dan.

" Oh gosh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." Dan apologised.

" Its fine. Do you want to be my boyfriend Dan?" I asked him.

" Of course Phil." Dan replied.

I pecked his lips and climbed back into bed.

Dan was about to leave to his room.

" Dan sleep with me if you want. I don't mind." I told him.

He lay with me in bed cuddlimg each other and I didn't have any nightmares that night.
