"Hello, everyone! Welcome back to my channel." You said as you sent a big smile to the camera on the desk in front of you. "So for today's video, I'm pulling a prank on Liz. There has been one that you all have been asking me to do to her like crazy and I've decided to finally do it."

It wasn't an easy choice to make as the possibility of breaking Liz's heart by pulling a prank on her and possibly taking things too far was very real.

But you didn't think that things would go that far, so you tried to push the worry out of your brain and do something that your viewers have been asking you to do for a while now.

The cheating prank.

Except, it wasn't you that'd be cheating.

It was Liz.

You had managed to take her phone this morning while she sleeps and send a few texts off to your cousin, who Liz doesn't know.

She was happy to be part of the prank where she'd be portrayed as Liz's ex-girlfriend and would send Liz a few texts, making it look like she's been cheating on you with her.

"Okay, let's do it." You said before setting the camera up, angling it on the desk to be able to film the bedroom.

You held Liz's phone in your hand and shook her awake.

"Liz, wake up!"

"Hm, what?" She mumbled as she opened her eyes. "What's wrong, baby?"

She could sense the urgency in your voice.

But not at all did she think you'd say what you actually told her.

"Liz, what the hell are these texts? Are you cheating on me?"

"What?" She asked in shock as she sat up. "What are you talking about?"

"Don't lie to me, Liz. I see the texts right here!"

"What texts!?"

"I miss you and can't wait to see you again. Come over today?"

She snatched her phone out of her hand and ran her eyes over the screen before looking at you in confusion.

"I don't understand what's going on. I don't know who this is from."

"Your ex! It says it right there at the top of the screen."

"But I haven't seen my ex in ages. God, the last time I saw her was back when we broke up. I haven't seen her since and I have no intention to do so. You have to believe me, Y/N."

"I don't know what to believe." You said as you ran your hands across your face. "I really don't, Liz. I see the texts with my own eyes and I see her name at the top. It's your phone they're coming from. What am I supposed to think?"

You stood up as she tried to place her hand on your knee and stood with your arms folded over your chest.

"I know how it looks. But baby, someone has to be messing with me because I did not send any texts to her and I have not seen her since we broke up."

"You know what, Liz? I'm tired of the lies. Just grab your things and go."

"What?" She asked as tears filled her eyes. "You can't be serious."

You watched a tear slip down her cheek and nearly cracked then.

But you didn't.

Not right at that moment.

"I am serious, Liz."

She got out of bed and hurried over to you before grabbing your hands in hers.

"I'll get down on my knees and beg to stay if that's what it takes. But, honey, please believe me when I say that I didn't cheat. I swear to you, I would never. Not with my ex, not with anyone, not ever."

You sighed before a smirk pulled at your lips.

"I know. Because I was the one messing with you."

Liz stared at you in disbelief as the words left your lips.

"I had my cousin send you those texts. I changed the name from hers to your ex's. My viewers have been asking me to do this prank on you for so long so I thought it was finally time."

She pulled her hands away from yours and went silent as she began to process everything.

"Liz?"

"So let me get this straight - were messing with me? That was all a prank? And you thought your explanation would just make everything okay?"

"I mean, I guess so."

"God, Y/N," She said as she sank her teeth into her lip.

She was angry.

Understandably so.

She pushed past you to quickly brush her teeth and change out of her pajamas and into a pair of clean clothes, all within a moment or two.

"What are you doing?" You asked as she grabbed her bag, phone, and keys.

"I need some space."

"Space?" You asked as you followed her out of the bedroom and down the stairs.

"Yeah, Y/N. I need some space because you just took things too far. That was extremely hurtful and uncool of you to do and I honestly can't believe you'd do something like that to me."

"Think about what?"

She stopped at the door, opening it before turning back to look at you.

"If we should stay together after that shit that you just pulled on me." She said as she clenched her jaw before walking out.

The door slammed shut and you took a seat on the sofa, regretting everything you'd said and done.

Some things for your channel just weren't worth doing.

And this had been one of them.
