Toni was gently swaying on the swing whilst angry hot tears ran down her face. Even dragging on her cigarette didn't help calm her down.

Not only had she fallen out with Moose, she fought with Jughead and ruined her best friends birthday party.

She was turning into everything she never wanted to be.

'T-Toni?'

The brunette closed her eyes as she took a final drag on her cigarette before throwing it to the ground and standing up. She barged passed the redhead without a word and began to make her way home.

'Toni, come on. I just want to check on you'.

'Why?' Toni hissed as she turned back to face the other girl. 'Why are you pretending to give a shit Cheryl? You made your bed. Now lay in it'.

'So that's it? You're never going to talk to me again?'

'Are you delusional?'

'What?'

'You didn't want to be near me remember? So don't act like this is all down to me. Now go home, it's not safe for you around here'.

'I'm sorry for the way I handled things. I didn't want to hurt you. I just thought it would be better this way'.

'Better for you ya mean?'

'Better for us both'.

'Right. Cheryl, I'm tired I'm going home'.

Toni began to walk back towards the trailer park but found herself getting annoyed when Cheryl followed her.

'Stop following me Cheryl'.

'I will... when you talk to me'.

'I don't want to talk to you, can't you get that through your thick skull'.

'Mean,' Cheryl muttered, but not loud enough for Toni to hear. 'Why don't you just say what you've got to say instead of being a coward?'

Toni spun around, 'oh, I'm the coward? You're the one who... you know what? No, I'm not doing this with you'.

'Just say what you think Toni'.

'What I think? I think you pretend to be this stuck up bitch who works in intimation so everyone does exactly as you want, but you're not. You pretend to be this strong woman, but deep down you're just scared. Scared of who you are. Scared of letting people in. Scared of what we could have been. Instead you'd rather treat me like I don't exist and be with a woman beater like Reggie Mantle. Am I warm yet Cheryl or should I keep going?'

Cheryl stuttered so Toni just continued on her rant.

'I was honest with you. I trusted you and I respected your boundaries, but yet here you are asking me what my problem is. Well Cheryl my problem is you. You want to talk to me and then you don't. You want to be friends and then you don't. I don't want to be on this merry go round with you anymore. This is me stepping off for good'.

'I didn't want you to feel this way Toni. It wasn't my intention'.

'So what was you intention? You kiss me and then push me away only to do the same thing again. I'm not your fucking experiment'.
