Sorry for the delay, I've struggled to find time to write and now I have the flu. I've pushed to get this chapter done for days and I've finally finished it.

Two weeks later.

The night of the dance.

Toni accepted the dress Veronica offered to borrow her the night of the sleepover. She looked over herself in her mirror barely recognising the person looking back at her. She looked like the lady she knew her nana wanted her to be.

The sound of the door to her trailer opening meant Fangs was here to drive them to the dance where Toni would have to watch Cheryl with Reggie. Since the night the redhead came to the trailer things had been strained between the two girls. Toni put it down to Cheryl's boyfriend not liking her.

They were civil when they were working on the project with the rest of the group however they hadn't worked on anything privately. It wasn't really an issue right now since the teenagers were just trying to raise money at this point.

Toni assumed Cheryl regretted the things she told her and that's why she was being distant. The serpent had her own reasons but she was sure she hadn't acted any differently around the cheerleader.

'Antoinette, Fredrick is here'.

Toni rolled her eyes as she let out a breath. She didn't even want to go to the stupid dance regardless she left her bedroom to greet her friend. Fangs stood in his shirt and trousers looking the part.

'Oh darling, you look beautiful,' Toni's nana said as she engulfed her in a hug.

'T! You look great,' Fangs agreed.

'Thanks. So do you'.

'Shall we go? I've borrowed my dads car'.

'Yeah, let's get this over with,' Toni said with a roll of her eyes.

Fangs and Toni said goodbye to her nana as they left the trailer. Sweet Pea finally found the courage two days ago to ask Veronica which meant the friends were going as a twosome.

'Sweets meeting us there,' Fangs said as he got into the car. 'Jughead is too'.

'Cool'.

Since the tickets had all sold out Toni wasn't surprised to see so many of her fellow classmates walking into the gymnasium that the group spent the previous night preparing.

'Woah T, you look amazing,' Sweet Pea said when he and Veronica approached his friends.

'You really do,' Veronica agreed.

'Thank you, you look amazing too,' Toni said looking at Veronica with a smile. The raven haired girl wore a white shirt tucked into a purple skirt.

'She does,' Sweet Pea said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. 'Shall we head in?'

Toni and Fangs nodded before following the couple into the gymnasium which looked completely different to what the students were used to. Some of the lights were off to make the space a little darker and the music was louder than the brunette thought it was going to be.

Jughead wasn't hard to spot either, he was the only greaser sat with a group of north siders, everyone in the project was there except for Cheryl who Toni assumed was somewhere with Reggie.
