Twenty Three

Hey everyone!

Thank you for all the comments on my last chapter. I love how excited you get when I post, it pushes me to write more.

I'm back at work tomorrow so there will be little to no updates from tomorrow to next Wednesday/Thursday. The joys of working twelve hour shifts however depending on what I get done today there may be another update although I'm not promising anything.

Let me know what you think & don't worry things are starting to... develop.

After their afternoon together Moose agreed to go to Pops with Toni who was grateful for his support. All she had left to do was apologise to the others and all all would be right again.

Hopefully.

Toni took her motorcycle and Moose took his car so they could go their separate ways after dinner, but they met in the parking lot.

'Ready?' Moose asked.

'Ready'.

She took the boys hand which felt a little bit too big for hers, she didn't concentrate on that too much though. She had her friendships to save.

The bell above the door jingled as they walked through the door, she felt a light squeeze of her hand when the others came into view.

They were obviously surprised to see her as she approached the table however Toni's mind moved to Cheryl.

Where was she?

'Toni, what are you doing here?' Veronica asked.

'I actually wanted to speak to you. To all of you, if you'd let me?'

'Go on...' Tabitha said, Jughead nodded at her with his arm wrapped around his girl.

'I just wanted to apologise for the way I've acted recently. There's no excuse for it. I haven't been a very good friend lately and I understand if it's too late but I'd really love if you'd all give me another chance'.

Toni never thought she'd see the day where she was practically begging a bunch of north siders to be her friends.

But here she was.

'Do you even have to ask T?' Jason said. 'We're bonded, we'll always be friends'.

'Sit down Toni, we were just about to order'.

The brunette smiled as she found a spot where her and Moose could squeeze in and all of a sudden it's like everything that had happened was a bad dream.

Everyone was chatting away as if nothing had happened and everything was right again.

Apart from the fact that Cheryl wasn't here.

She was probably out with Reggie, that made the most sense.

'Oh T,' Jason said looking at the serpent. 'Cheryl is really sorry she couldn't be here'.

'That's okay, I understand she probably has other things to do'.

'Nah, she's grounded. My parents got wind that she was drunk last night and they punished her for it. You two are friends again now though, right?'

'Yeah, how did you know?'

'She told me. I actually helped get everyone together. I knew you were coming'.

'Well thanks Jay'.

'No problem T'.
