Venti x Reader || At least I'm with you!

When you and Venti got together, all Venti could think about is how you were mortal, and he was not.

He is a God. The anemo archon! And he was sharing his heart to the only person he would ever give it to. You.

It plagued Venti's heart more then he'd like to admit about you being mortal and how you could easily die, and that human life is very fragile.

He likes to distract you with music on his lyre whenever you bring up your mortality, or when someone else brings up your mortality. But he knows he can't stay away from the topic forever. He's very, very much aware of it more than he'd like to admit.

But something incredibly big was about to happen about this mortality you had.

Alright, so Sucrose wanted you to experiment and drink some potions for her. That can't possibly be a horrible task can it? Aether and Paimon were out doing commissions that allegedly you were, 'too young for'. You rolled your eyes at that thought. You were trying to find your sister too! They can't just leave you out like that. But alas, you never bring it up. Your brother never wants to argue against it, because he loves you too much. But it does absolutely make you furious sometimes.

You saw Sucrose standing just outside the adventures guild. Taking a deep breath, you made your way towards her.

''Hey Sucrose!'' ''Eh- OH! Hello, Y/n. You gave me a fright! I didn't see you there!'' You saw Sucrose hold a round glass bottle filled with pink liquid with a Corkscrew on top. ''Hey, is that the potion I'm meant to drink?'' ''Oh this?'' She gave a glance at the bottle she was holding. ''Yeah, you're meant to drink this. Heh, I spent all night preparing this just for you. So I'm really hoping it works!'' 

She handed over the round Corkscrew bottle to you. When you decided to shake the bottle, just to see what it would do, it fizzed up. And when you proceeded to remove the Corkscrew, smoke came bursting through the bottle, as if it was compressed in the bottle for years.

As Sucrose saw the smoke coming from the bottle she gave you, her expression changed from a shy happy expression, to a pure horrified one.

''W-WAIT, Y/N, DON'T DRINK THAT!''

But it was already inside you.

''Huh?''

It was too late.

''Y/n. I-I'm so sorry, I gave you the wrong potion to drink.'' You could see Sucrose's eyes have pricks of water just leaking from her irises. ''It's okay, but what exactly was the potion?''

Sucrose took a gulp before answering your question. Was it going to be deadly? Were you about to die? Would you ever see Venti again?

''It was a immortality potion, meaning you can live forever, and that you will stay your age forever. I'm so sorry Y/n. I am so, so sorry!''

Venti being the sneaky bard he is, he decided to sneak on your plans today. He knew that you weren't going to be going with Aether and Paimon today. So he decided to check on what you were doing in your spare time.

He saw you looking at Sucrose, and huh? What was that in her hand?

He saw you walk over to her, and proceeding to point to the potion he was also questioning. This sneaky bard got a grin on his face. He knew exactly what he was going to do to you.

He decided since you looked so focused on your conversation with Sucrose, that this bard would decide to give you a little scare!

So there he went, he hid behind a wall, but left his head sticking out to see exactly what you were doing, while his braids dangled left and right.

( ''W-WAIT, Y/N, DON'T DRINK THAT!'')

Wait, this wasn't apart of the plan.

What did Sucrose make you drink? She looks horrified.

He turned over to you. You had pink liquid surrounding your mouth as you looked in awe at Sucrose. 

(''Huh?'')

(''Y/n. I-I'm so sorry, I gave you the wrong potion to drink.'')

He came in closer to them. He could barely hear, but he needed to know what you drank. He hoped it wasn't something unchangeable that you drank or he swear he would- 

(''It was a immortality potion, meaning you can live forever, and that you will stay your age forever. I'm so sorry Y/n. I am so, so sorry!'')

He froze.

It felt like time had completely stopped for him.

Even Diluc, not too far away from the bard was questioning why his face had completely froze in time.

You were immortal now?
