I'm getting him out of prison today.

I can't help the big smile that appears on my face. It's always there when I win a case or receive good news like this one. It feels very fucking good to win.

After just three weeks, I finally did it.

I stare at myself in my bathroom mirror just smiling like a dumbass. I've just gotten out the shower and now I'm getting ready for my day. I have a feeling it's going to be a good one.

Sometimes my irritating clients and cases make me forget this side of my job. The part where I win and I feel like the best lawyer in the world, which I am.

I think I'm most excited about getting away from Leonid. I won't have to put up with his staring or bold words anymore. He's very tempting and I just need him as far away from me as possible. I'm glad I've been able to keep my distance and keep it professional just how I said I would.

A while later I'm making my way straight to the kitchen. As soon as I take a seat a maid places my breakfast in front of me and I thank her. I'm surprised to see my father isn't here yet. He's usually always the first one to be seated ready to eat.

I begin to eat as the man himself enters. He takes a seat in front of me and gives me a smile. "Good morning, daughter." He says in a joking way.

"Good morning, father." I respond and he chuckles as he watches his food get placed in front of him.

"You seem to be in a good mood today." He points out as he begins to eat and the huge smile from earlier reappears on my face. I can't help it.

"I'm getting Leonid Ivanov out of prison today." I tell him excitedly and he smiles.

"Of course, you are. Congratulations, Gianna." He tells me happily and with a proud look in his eyes.

"Thank you, papa."

I bite my lip waiting for Leonid to walk out the metal gate in front of me. I'm never nervous but today I am. I hate this feeling.

Footsteps interrupt me and I look to my side to see Akim Ivanov approaching me. He takes his sunglasses off and stands beside me.

"I apologize for doubting you, Ms. Romano." He says as he stares at the gate ahead of us.

"Don't worry, it happens all the time." I smile beginning to play with the sleeve of my blouse.

For fucks sake Gianna, stop with the fucking nerves.

"You can just call me Gianna." I let him know and he nods as I hear the gate open, and I look over.

He glares at the guard with his pretty eyes as the guy takes his handcuffs off of him. He then looks over at us. Specifically, me. He's literally staring me down. So, I look down at the black red bottoms I'm wearing. I've literally never done that or realized how interesting my heels are.
