Akim has turned into a fucking robot. He's emotionless.
Ever since that Olivia woman announced that she was pregnant with his child and Morelia basically ran out of the house, he has become a different person and not in a good way.
He has also become very distant with me. He already was before, but now it's worse.
I know he blames me for the way things turned out with his wife, and I did feel guilty and at fault for a moment. That was until I realized that it is not my fault at all and that I shouldn't feel guilty either.
His knock on my office door brings me back to reality. I motion for him to take a seat and he does.
"I'm not going to apologize." My words make him look at me in confusion.
"I'm not at fault for your marriage falling apart." I seriously tell him, and he just stares at me.
"Akim..." I take a pause.
"You could have told me that you were married and starting a family." I add on causing his little emotionless facade to disappear.
"Leonid, we're in the Bratva. Do you know how fucking dangerous it is to fall in love?" He says to me. I can tell that he is clearly still very pissed off at probably everyone and everything.
"Did you not fucking remember how much power we hold that we could have gotten your wife as much security as necessary for you to be comfortable?" I retort back to him so that he calms the fuck down.
"I would have understood as well if you would have simply told me the truth and that you didn't want to come back." I continue because now I'm starting to become pissed off at him for being a fucking idiot.
"You could have also done things differently, Akim." I continue and I won't stop attacking him until he shuts up and actually tries to fix his life that he destroyed on his own. No one here is at fault except him.
"You should have trusted Morelia and you should have told her the truth before even thinking about leaving her the way you did." With that it's like he is pushed back into reality.
He rubs his hands against his face in what I am presuming is frustration.
"I want you away from Morelia." That causes him to immediately look at me as if I just said the most ridiculous thing he has ever heard.
"No."
"Yes, and you're going to divorce her and leave her alone as soon as Marcello is dead. I doubt she would even think about fixing your marriage when you were apparently unfaithful to her, and your little mistress is now expecting."
Akim looks like he wants to say something but holds himself back. I'm glad that he gives in and decides to shut the fuck up and not try to contradict me. This is all so messy that I don't see it being fixed in any way.
