The room was crowded to say the least. There was people drinking boba at the bar. Gangs playing games like darts and arm wrestling a guy twice their size. The only way anyone would know these guys were criminals and cultist if you took a good look at their clothing. Considering they had the Garmadon symbol on backs of their jackets. Other then that they seemed like a bunch of bikers having fun. I mean they are literally doing Karaoke at the far right of the entrance. It made Lloyd wonder if they even knew what Harumi was planning.
"What's the plan?" Cole whispers.
Lloyd wasn't sure, the place was packed and it wasn't helping that most of the people here were taller than him. It was to one time he actually wished he had gained more of his fathers genetics then his mothers.
"I don't know," Lloyd went on his tippy toes to try and get a better look, "there has to be a hidden door or secret hatch somewhere."
Cole nodded. He noticed a women with grey skin and black hair that was put up in a high ponytail sitting in front of something. It looked like a lever. Cole elbows Lloyd and gestures to girl.
Lloyd sighs, of course Violet was the one guarding the door. "We need to find a way to distract her."
Jay thought for a moment, "the karaoke?"
"Could work," Lloyd tapped his lip, "but is anyone good at entertaining."
Cole and Jay turn to Kai.
Kai tenses, "Don't look at me, I maybe good at singing, but not enough to be a distraction."
Garmadon hums, "I mean... I can do it."
The ninjas stare at the Oni in concern.
"Dad that is a very bad idea, you could get us caught."
"And if I do? These guys practically worship me! I think they would be thrilled that Lord Garmadon came to join them." He snickered.
"He does have a point Lloyd."
Lloyd was defeated, his dad was right. The only reason these guys became a cult was to bring back the old Lord Garmadon, and Violet would love to see her idol up on a stage.
"Okay, just be careful, alright."
Garmadon couldn't hold his smile and he messes up Lloyds hair. He walked through the crowd and went on the stage.
"Hello Son's of Garmadon!" Garmadon voice echos through the room, "I heard your my number one fans, but are you really?!"
This captures Ultra Violets attention.
"Well then prove to me right here and now, with the Dance of Doom!"
The music starts playing and everyone gathers around the ex-overlord. Violet gives that psychotic grin as she runs to the front.
The ninja seeing their chance sneaks to the lever and quietly goes through the hidden door before closing it behind them.
The area was like a maze. Doors upon doors. Tunnels upon tunnels. Cole suggests to split up, him and Lloyd go one way, Kai and Jay the other. Lloyd hands the two small rubber devices.
"What are these?"
"Blockers," Lloyd gestures one them to hand him their phone, "The Sons of Garmadon are sneaky and dangerously smart. I don't need her hacking into our phones." Lloyd places the device inside Jay's and Kai's phone cases "If we need to contact each other, this will keep them from finding our locations."
Jay looked in the awe of the technology, "Did P.I.X.A.L make these?"
Lloyd nodded.
"Okay, okay. Jay you can pick at the tech later." Cole gingerly grabs Lloyds arm.
He guides him through one of the tunnels before yelling out "If you two find anything contact us immediately!"
Kai and Jay yell out an okay as they walk through the nearest tunnel.————————————————————
Lloyds quiet footsteps haunted him. Cole always hated the quiet. It was that one frustrating of being a ninja. Silence. That's why he couldn't be the leader of the group. He knew if he was, he would have to be better, greater. His techniques would have to be the stealthiest, the quickest, the quietest. So when he met Lloyd, he knew it would be perfect for the job.
Lloyd is the opposite of Cole. Lloyd loves the quiet, he prefers to have nothing to distract him, to harm him. Cole could never blame him for that. Lloyd is the son of Garmadon, which meant automatically Lloyd was a target to those who held a grudge against his father. They would scream, cry, threaten and echo. That creates a lot of noise, a lot of sound, who wouldn't want to block all of that out. Because of this Lloyd has always been a secretive person. He normally doesn't like to talk about his emotions or things that are on his mind.
Which at first was fine, Cole does the same. Its okay to not want to talk about things. But now, it seems to eat at Cole. A haunting silence he can't bare.
"Lloyd."
He needs to know what's going on.
"Yes?"
He needs to know why.
"Why are you here?"
Lloyd stopped, "What?"
"Why did you come back? What are you hiding?"
Cole turned to him, a sharp stare that sinked into Lloyds soul.
"What happened to you?"
