Just another ordinary day for them who lives under the same house they have been renting since a year ago. The same house that has been empty from nine in the morning. Just when the clock strikes it's hand to five will one of them be inside of it.
Y/n:*sigh* It sure is a long day.
Opening the wooden door, y/n makes sure to take a deep breath in. Wanting to replace the stressing feeling inside her with the feeling present inside the house. She takes off her uncomfortable stiff office shoes, hang her coat that still feel drenched from the morning rain. She puts her small sling bag on the key tables before really going inside the house. She washes her hand and take a seat on the light coloured sofa.
Y/n: I swear if it's rain again-
Y/n:*mumble* Will he come home today?
Y/n:*sigh* I need to cook.
After some seconds of closing her eyes, she stretches her aching muscles and start working to their shared bedroom to take a quick shower. Picking out the most comfortable pajamas she owned, bringing them with her to the bathroom.
Finishing her shower, her's mind started to wonder what she should cook for today dinner. She is way too lazy to cook a heavy one, just wanting to make something simple. Maybe making some fried rice. She can throw in some sausages or kimchi, if they still have some.
Before heading out, she checks her phone once again. Hoping for that one name to pop out and texted her about his where abouts. She opened their chat rooms, and nothing change. The last text she sent him was not even delivered. Knowing how busy his job is, she can't make herself to protest or even bring it up to him. She can't even dare to mumble her annoyance sometimes. As she knows well, and he had also told him about how his job would take all his time and it would be hard for him sometimes to even reply a simple text from her.
Y/n: I hope he is eating well.
Ignoring her's feeling, she make her way towards the kitchen. Checking their almost empty fridge for something to put inside the fried rice she would make today. Finding some leftover kimchi they got from his' parents, she knows that it will be enough for today dinner. She doesn't wish for a feast just enough to fill his stomach.
She opens the top cabinet, taking out three instant rice packs, throwing them into the microwave for some minutes.
Y/n: The silence is killing me.
As she waits for the instant rice, she plays some music to help her kills the boredom she started to feel. She doesn't even want to choose, she just mindlessly tap onto one of the options offered.
Y/n: I don't remember saving this songs.
Y/n:*shrugged* But it is what it is.
The microwave make a noise telling her that the rice she has been waiting for is ready now. She takes out her cooking utensils and start throwing in all the ingredients she found. Hoping that it actually taste okay for her to feast in.
Hueningkai: I'm home.
As she is stirring all the fried rice, a voice she sure is not expecting today was heard by her. As quick as possible, she turned off the gas and run towards the front door which actually not that far away till she needs to run to the door.
There he is. Taking off his drenched sneakers, his favourite blue cap is still there on his head even when it is visibly wet. His heavy drenched jacket is still wrapped on his body.
Y/n:*disbelief* Kai.
With his name being mentions, his face lift up to meet the voice source, and a smile just quickly be there as he meets eyes with his loved one.
Hueningkai:*smile* Hey y/n-ie.
Y/n: H-ho wh-
Hueningkai:*chuckle* I'll tell you everything. Can you help me take this wet jacket off first? She is quickly waken up from her confused mind and rushed towards the one she has been waiting for. She helps him takes off the drenched jacket before rushing towards the laundry room, grabbing a new warm towel.
Y/n: It's raining again?
Hueningkai:*nod* Just as I came out the company, the rain come greeting me.
Y/n: I swear, the weather nowadays is giving me headache.
Hueningkai:*worried* You have headache?
Y/n:*chuckle* I'm not Kai, I'm just saying.Note. Y/n spell Kai as Ka-I (카이)
Hueningkai: Are you cooking something?
Y/n:*nod* Kimchi fried rice.
Hueningkai: We still have kimchi?
Y/n: There are some leftovers.
Hueningkai: Can I have some?
Y/n:*smile* Yes, yes you can.
Hueningkai: Great, I've been missing your dishes.
Y/n: Then come home more.
Hueningkai:*regrets* I'm sorr-She quickly plant a small kiss on the boy's lips. She knows what he is going to say, what he is apologizing for. And, she knows that it's never his fault to begin with. She knows how hard he always tried to come back home to her.
Y/n: I'm not saying that for you to apologize Kai-ah.
Hueningkai: But stil-
Y/n: I understand. I know that you've always tried your best to come back home. *smile* And I always, and will always, be grateful for all those trouble you went through just to get back home.Hueningkai: I love you.
Y/n:*smile* I know.
Hueningkai: I really do.
Y/n: And so do I Kai-ah. So do I.
Hueningkai: Thank you.
Y/n: Hm?
Hueningkai: Thank you for choosing me.
Y/n:*smile* I always will.Though they are at the most unromantic places, their confessions for each other never stop flowing out. He keeps her warm in his hug and she mumbles all her thanks to him. Simply don't wanna know about her clean pajamas being dirty from all the dirt from his' tees.
Y/n: Wanna take a quick shower then eat?
Hueningkai: Should I?
Y/n:*nod* It would help you feel better.
Hueningkai: Then I should. She entangled herself from the warm cozy hug to hold his smiling face on her' palms. She stares at that handsome face that belongs to her's fiancé. She really does love him.
Y/n: I will heat up the food again okay?
Hueningkai:*nod* I'll clean myself and join you in a min.
Y/n: Yes, yes you will.
