No descriptive sentence could fully muster how the last few days have been since the incident. On the first day after, Y/N could remember feeling emotionally exhausted and mentally unprepared, however, her physical body proved to be just fine, even after the fight.

Her parents got the news and were in fact the ones that woke her up, Y/N was leaning against the door, feet sticking to the floor, so they couldn't enter. But she hazily reassured them she was awake.

"Y/N... Y/N, we know what's happened, something terrible has happened to your brother." Her father's muffled voice from the other side of the door was attempting so hard to hold in the grief. Her mother most likely grieving in a separate room.

Before she left her room, she made sure to hide the partly-torn mask that was still laying on the bed.

For hours, Y/N's parents discussed what had happened that night, while consistently checking their phones for any new notifications. It wasn't hard to get upset again, hearing it be confirmed that her brother, whom she'd spent sixteen years of her life, was dead; still gave way to devastation.

She was prepared for her parents to tell her that she was involved and had to surrender herself to the police. Yet, the cameras from the pizza place weren't active in the incident, and her cousins made a statement that she had run away from the scene instead of being trapped with her brother.

Along with witness accounts of the unknown "Masked crazy-woman" were so few with descriptions due to them being petrified of watching what had happened causing hysteria, with different claims of what the person wore not matching with other witnesses.

Even the Teen Titans, who arrived at the scene with a good look at the masked vigilante weren't sure if their descriptions could be trusted considering that they were heavily wounded from fighting a previous enemy set-up.

In summary, Y/N managed to get out of the situation scot-free, whether someone had managed to cover for her or it was just out of pure luck, who knows.

Yet she didn't know if that was a good thing. Even if she was the one that defeated the villain, the damage she caused could not go excused.

Her parents questioned why she didn't wake them up when she came back, and she responded that she was too scared to leave her room, which her parents gave into the excuse, still dealing with each other's forms of grief at different paces.

Most of the day was spent together, as a family, huddling together on the couch on such a sorrowful morning watching the news as they spur more information about the incident on the TV.

There was no way to blame the Teen Titans for this tragedy, they are only teenagers and had apparently been set up to fight what they thought was the Jump City crime boss. It had turned out to be a ploy while the actual crime boss was roaming the streets to rob associates who were trying to hide from their debt.

No one could have predicted him to actually kill someone, let alone an innocent person. It was something only the most psychotically evil villains would do. The only good news is the crime boss's permanent sentence in prison. This has officially ended Jump Cities' violent gang problem that had lasted years before the Teen Titans were even formed. With their crime boss gone, all gang members have retreated to other cities like Gotham.

Hearing all this, Y/N wasn't sure whether to feel reassured... or anxious about what new enemy may eagerly emerge from this defeat. Any bad guy with powers can now freely cause havoc without worrying about making deals and being under the restrictions of a Crime boss and his loyal goons.

After half an hour, the Police came to the apartment to get their statements and give condolences. But after Y/N made her quick witness account to go along with what her cousins had said, she remained watching the news.
