Slade's Underground Lair, Monday 5:15 am

Her eyes woke up before her mind did. It took a few moments of blurry vision cramping together until Y/N could see what she was staring at—a cave, and a huge one too. Yet what lit up this gloomy place were thinly vertical windows, chaotically sealed borders couldn't hide the molten lava that slowly moved behind. It was hushed for a place that heavily echoed her every move.

It had confused Y/N for a second or two because she was so cold. One shiver from the freezing stone floor she was lying on made Y/N startle her arms up frailly. Rubbing the back of her head to only feel a nasty wound at the back, Y/N started questioning herself. How did she get here again?... What's up with the evil getup this whole place is reeking of?... Why isn't she in her costume?! This seems like a very appropriate moment to be in her costume!

Then, all the memories snapped back in an instant. The internship, her parents, her friends, the team--. Y/N stopped slouching and immediately started darting her head around, bringing herself more aware of her surroundings, she began to realise a few more crucial details.

She was in a box. At every corner was a metallic railing that joined on the roof. What was secured around these railings looked like thick glass, which explains why she didn't notice it at first. Properly getting herself up seemed to wake the symbiote as it immediately covered her back up in her superhero costume, "...You're still here? That's a relief." Y/N's partly tired voice finally spoke to herself.

Glancing back at a part of the glass box she was trapped in, Y/N clenched one fist and prepared her strength before making one fatal punch to the glass in front of her. Unfortunately, the thick glass never leaves a crack, although the friction was visibly seen transferring itself fully around the whole containment. That punch had made Y/N step back and wince as she unclenched her fist and moved it back and forth in agony.

Spider-girl's losing her touch, or that material isn't just thick glass. She would hope it's the second option. By this point, Spidey's vision was more adaptable to the darkness now, and she could see a few things lurking inside the cave.

The first thing further away was a desk, it had a small lamp that was left on, which presented files, blueprints--, wait. Those were her brother's blueprints! The one Slade stole when his robot cronies ransacked her house! Most were organised in a pile, but the strange blueprints she read were open and laid across the desk. Bits and pieces of incomplete devices were also scattered around, what Spidey could now only assume was Terra's communicator was lying there elegantly separated in pieces.

Though that was hardly less concerning than what else was there. Hanging from the cave wall behind the desk was an arrangement of arachnid displays, tiny needles stuck on a variety of spiders to keep them lifelessly still inside the miniature artifact displays they were permanently trapped in. One last thing Y/N saw on the desk was a glass jar that had a living venomous spider in it, probably the next victim of the others, with webs taking over some parts as it scaredly crawled around the jar; like it was desperate for freedom... "I feel you, little guy." Y/N couldn't help but comment, "This is crazy.".

Sadly that wasn't all. A few metres beside the desk was an odd machine that stood tall. There was a vertical window in the middle as tall as Y/N was. However, the area was so dark that Y/N couldn't see through the glass inside. There was something familiar about it, except she couldn't place a finger on it... Terra must've hit her head pretty hard.

Dashing her head to what was left in the huge cave was what was closest to her, computer tech. With stacks of screen monitors hanging along the cave wall. Gratefully none of them was switched on, yet. Y/N has a feeling when they do she won't like what she sees. Whatever malicious plan Slade and Terra have for her, she doesn't doubt it will be worse than when she was Slade's apprentice six months ago.
