Chapter 1 (Arriving In Gravity Falls)

(Connie's POV)

You sat in the back seat of your mom and dads small car, watching as you pass a big sign reading "Welcome to Gravity Falls". You sigh and begin to fiddle around with your hands out of boredom. Suddenly a loud bang startles you and the car comes to a stop. Your dad sighs and mumbles as he pulls over and stops the car. You watch as your parents get out of the car and start looking for the problem. "A flat tire, that's just great" you hear your dad say. You realize that your parents are going to be a while and decide to get out of the car. "Something wrong sweetie?" your hear your mom ask as she spotted you get out. You sigh and say "I just have to go to the bathroom. " You said, your mom makes a soft sigh, then says "Just go in the bushes sweetie its not like we're near any sort of civilisation at the moment, just be careful ok". You nodded and ran to the bushes. You finish doing what you were there for but then decided to explore a little before heading back to the car. You notice what looks like a clearing ahead and decided to go check it out. You gasped as you notice something unusual sitting in the clearing. A strange statue!?
You walk towards this strange statue and notice it seems to be the top half of a pyramid like figure sticking halfway out of the ground. You then notice it has one giant eye halfway burried in the ground, a tophat and what looks like an arm reaching out like it wants a handshake or something. You walk towards it and decided just for fun to pretend and shake its hand. As you did the statue suddenly began to crack as light began to peek through the cracks. You gasped and fall back. You watch as the statue starts breaking with the bright light growing as each crack grew bigger. Suddenly a blinding light makes you cover your eyes with your arms. You suddenly began to hear a mischievous laugh grow louder and louder.
