Severus Snape could be found pacing in his privet area, contemplating whether or not he should go speak to the headmaster about something that had been on his mind for a long time.
'Should I?
Yes.
No.
Yes.
No.
Yes.
No.
Yes?' he let out a frustrated grown. Glancing towards the door, his lack of self-control caused him to walk out the room he called his, and make his way to the second floor, where he was now.
Stepping in front of the large, bronze gargoyle, he began to list off sweets.
"Toffee?"
"Sugar drops?"
"Fruit Pastels?"
"Stop," a voice interrupted him. "Just go straight through, cannot be bothered, its Chocolate Frogs by the way, if he asks"
"Thanks Greg" he sighed in relief.
The gargoyle moved to the side, letting him through the doorway, the spiral staircase moving towards the wooden door. As he went to knock, his fist didn't collide with the door, instead it opened, the twinkling blue eyes of the old headmaster following his every move.
"Severus? What do I owe for this pleasurable visit?" Dumbledore asked.
Walking in, said man sighed in contemplation before breathing out – ithinkthatoliviashouldmoveupayear -, very quickly
"Come again?"
"I believe that it is in our best interest that we move Grey up a year, maybe two, three pushing it." the headmaster gave him a questioning look
"Why?"
"Well, erm I ... know we had our ... issues, but I believe that she would benefit going up a year or two" he paused "Well, she has been doing really, really well in potions, every single one of them, perfect, no mistakes, I couldn't make a better one if I tried, and this is her first go at anything of the sort. - Also, she has handed in every single essay, o level, within the time set, minimum of 3 pages each, usually more than that, honestly, she is probably the student that I am most proud of, out of all of them, and as her head of house-" he looked at the headmaster with something along the lines of hope in them."Severus, I am glad to hear that you are proud in one of your students, but how do we know that she is simply just really interested in your subject?"
"I figured you would ask that, so I took the liberty to as each one of her teachers, yes, I have really thought about this." he added at the look from the man sat before him. "And every one of them said she is excelling in the classes, usually finishing first and almost looking bored for the rest of the lesson, even if they give her extra work, she finishes it in no time, she has never had a detention from not handing in her essays and extra work or homework, only pranking. Every teacher I asked has said that she gets an O in every one of them. Some said they give her work which she has no reason to know the answers to, or any possible way to, and she still gets it all correct, nothing is ever less than 100%. She is extraordinary, she needs to get her emotions in order. Oh, that reminds me I needed to let you know that we need more ingredients," Snape said, handing the headmaster a list of an abundance of ingredients.
Dumbledore furrowed his eyebrows.
"Severus, you can't of ran out already," the headmaster said.
"Yes, well there was a bit of an incident with one of the students today, causing some of the containment jars to explode," Snape said
