An almost fight

She had no idea how but Olivia had wrangled herself an afternoon detention with Madam Hooch-which to be fair was only trimming the broomsticks, but it was still a detention nonetheless. In the first minute of detention, Olivia decided Madam Hooch was her favourite member of staff, McGonagall being a close second. Half of her 'detention' was just Olivia asking the coach questions about Quidditch.

Dinnertime rolled around fairly quickly, but she couldn't help but notice how strange her Slytherin friends were acting. Some of their laughs were forced and they were staring at her in an odd sort of way. She couldn't bring herself to worry about it, she had been aching to know what happened at flying lessons, so she ignored the rules about dinnertime and sat between Harry and Seamus at the Gryffindor table. Turns out Harry got in a fight but got out scot-free.

"What's this about Harry being a privileged little git?" Olivia interjected. Harry turned to look at her, offended, but upon seeing the teasing grin on her face he merely rolled his eyes. It was so hard to be genuinely offended by Olivia when she wore that smile; it didn't matter what she said.

"Don't be attacking our seeker Grey"

"Stuff it, Weasley, or I'll sick Anthony on you" Olivia said, knowing full well that they didn't get along

Fred and George both rolled their eyes at the mention of their top rival for troublemaking, Anthony was a one-man band, and that particular charm seemed to combat the two-man act that the twins had going on. Besides, a lot of Anthony's pranks were pinned on the twins, who never had a proper alibi to prove their innocence.

"Speaking of which, we'd better get going," Fred said, "Lee says he's found a new secret passageway out of the school."

"Bet it's that one behind the statue of Gregory the Smarmy that we found in our first week," George winked. "See you!"

With that, the twins left as abruptly as they'd arrived. Olivia couldn't help but snicker in amusement, but her humour was short-lived, as Pansy came over.

"I want a fight, to teach you some manners Grey, on how to treat your superiors"

"I think it's you who needs some manners, now go" said Harry coolly.

Olivia laughed. "Nice one, Harry."

Pansy shot Olivia a glare and turned his eyes back to Harry. "I'd take both of you on anytime on my own" she boasted, seeming eager to prove herself. "Tonight, if you want. Wizard's duel. Wands only- no contact."

"Not again." Olivia muttered to herself.

"Can we schedule a fist fight for next week? You and me?" Olivia asked her. She didn't know much about duelling, especially after Draco backed out, and neither did Harry, by the slight surprise on his face, but she had taken down several older kids at Wool's through the years.

Pansy scoffed at her. "No, muggle fighting is barbaric!"

"More like you know you'll lose," she taunted

Mallory, one of her goons, stepped toward her, and she squared her shoulders. Arching an eyebrow at her when she cracked her knuckles; she went to stand, but Harry grabbed her arm and forced her to stay sitting.

"Yeah, we'll duel you, Pansy," he said, determined.

"No, we won't"

"Why? Because you don't even know what a wizard's duel is, Grey? I bet not."

"Yeah, of course we know what a wizard's duel is, because me and Harry actually picks up books once in a while unlike you, Pug-face!" declared Olivia loudly, and with that pug-face left.
