"Mrs. Spencer, I just want to personally thank you for the gift. I really liked it, so much." I said to Brian's mom as we all walked towards an italian restaurant."No problem, darling. I am glad you liked it." Mrs. Spencer replied with full smile. "You know why I like you? Because I see you as the daughter I am dreaming of," she added.
I smiled and said, "I am sure Darcy will grow a wonderful lady like you and she'll be the daughter you are dreaming of."
"Aww, you're such a sweet person," she said.
"Buon Appetito!" said by the waiter as he served our meal.
We all started eating and chatting more comfortably than the last time we ate altogether. But our parents began talking about something awkward for me and Brian.
"My wife really likes Gabrielle. That night after our dinner, all we had talked about is her. She even said she sees her as our future daughter-in-law," Mr. Spencer giggled to my parents.
Mrs. Spencer blushed and said, "Hey, honey. You don't have to tell them that."
Both our parents laughed so I smiled like I was taking it as joke but in reality it is really awkward. I looked at Brian's reaction and all I found was an unexplainable gaze and a smirk that I haven't seen until now.
"That was great joke," my dad said while still laughing.
I know what he meant when he said that. He makes sure that there is nothing serious on the matter that there is something going on between Brian and I because he always reminds me of not having romantic relationships with anyone for I am still very young.

"That was great," my mom said pertaining to the meal we just had.
"Yes and I think we should do this more often," Meredith said.
"So where do we go now?" Dad asked.
"I really want to go to the spa but since Arthur don't want it and I don't want to go alone, I'd never had it since we moved here." Meredith appealed.
Mom excitedly replied, "I love spa, we could go together."
"Okay okay, daddys will take care of the kids." Brian's dad jokingly said.
"I'll bring Darcy. There's a place for kids to play at the spa on the second floor. I know she'll get bored with you." Meredith teased her husband.
Brian suddenly cut in and said, "And dad, before I forget, I and Gabrielle have to buy some materials for our school project."
I was like What is he talking about? We don't even have a single class together.
"Okay. So I guess daddys will stay and wait at the smoking lounge," his dad replied and we all laughed.
Brian grabbed my hand as we all walked in our separated ways.
"Would you mind explaining?" I asked him.
"Sorry. I just thought we need to have some privacy to talk about it." He replied and I suddenly remembered that we have something to talk about.

We sat a bench at the mall's park and Brian started talking, "As what I thought we really had a great relationship. But it ended that night. It was our anniversary celebration, so I decided to have some surprise for her at a restaurant. I worked with an organizer to make everything well and while I was talking to her, Courtney came and she misinterpreted what was happening. She believed that I cheated on her and she didn't even give me a chance to explain. I tried to talk to her, I called her for weeks but then I learned that she left their house and moved somewhere else. Of course the reason I was at your school is because I found out she's there."
"So, does that mean you want her back?" I asked.
"I planned to get her back that's why I enrolled at your school. But before school starts I realized something. I realized that maybe she doesn't love me anymore because if she does, she could have listened to me. Am I right?" He explained and asked.
"You're right. But why did you continue studying at our school? You know it won't help you move on." I questioned.
"Aside from it was too late to back out, I thought maybe it is good for her to see me often so that she could realize that she's wrong. And you're right I also thought that it is not a good idea because it may be more difficult for me to move on but I've already found someone who is better than her."
I asked again, "Are you telling that in less than a month you already found someone to replace her?"
He moved closer to me, so close that I could feel him breathe and whispered, "Yes. I found her...I found you."
"What?" What? What? What?
His cheeks turned red then laughed, "You're funny, don't pretend like you don't heard it."
"I heard you loud and clear. I am just not sure of what I heard." I felt I turned red too. "Excuse me, why are you laughing?" I added. Now I am starting to get pissed off.
"I'm sorry. It is just some sort of a cover. I used to laugh when I tell a girl I like her because I am really...shy." He explained.
"You like me? I think you're just getting carried away because you just got off a relationship." I denied.
His face turned serious from smiley and said, "I knew this would be your reaction but I'll still prove it to you."
This is shocking and all I was able to reply was, "Well, uhm, I don't know what to say. This is really...awkward."

MEANWHILE,,,(OUT OF GABRIELLE'S SIGHT)
"Is that Gabrielle?" Lindsey said to Courtney.
"Where?" Courtney asked.
Lindsey pointed and said, "Over there, she's with someone."
"She said she's with her family," Courtney explained.
"Why didn't we just go to her?" Monique cut in.
Lindsey saw who is the person with Gabrielle and asked Courtney to do the honors, "Wait, I think Courtney should check this."
Courtney saw Brian laughing beside Gabrielle and cursed, "Oh God, what a traitor."
