9 | Makes Me Light-headed

I was about to leave home for school when,

phone ringing...

Brian calling...

"Yes?"

"Gabrielle, I think I'm not gonna make it today at school. My body aches so much."

"Okay."

"Just okay?"

"Yes?"

"Okay, you won. Anyway, I texted my classmate John to give you his notes and homework reminders after class. Is it okay with you?"

"Sure."

"Thanks. Uhm you know...the pain I am feeling right now is..unbearable."

"If that's the case, I think you need a doctor."

"No, I think I need someone else,"

"I need to go. Don't move a lot, just rest. Bye!"

Call ended.

Since that day he confessed to me that he likes me, I admit, our relationship became 'more than friends' even I didn't say a word of committment to him.

I don't know why but I feel like, this kind of relationship is all what I wanted, for now.

I guess this is because I got traumatized from the hurt my exboyfriend gave me when he admitted that he had 'dated' some other girl. It broke me so much because he's the first man I got romantic relationship with.

Of course, our relationship has been a big secret, where aside from the two of us only Aimee knows it, because Dad had never been open on me having a boyfriend. That's why it really hurt me because for the first time, I disobeyed my parents that bad.

But above all this, I am glad I've learnt that it is always better to trust and follow your parents for they know what's good for you. Another thing is that I am proud that, even I was tempted, I didn't gave him everything I have.

Today, if Courtney's not at school yet, I planned of visiting her at her house since she never answered any of my messages, calls, and chats.

Aside from I am worried if she's still ill, I feel the need of checking on her for I think I've done something wrong to her.

"Before I dismiss the class, I want to remind you that the student council will hold the annual senior high party this Saturday evening. Everybody are requested to join. For questions you can check their bulletin board at the fourth floor. You may go now," our teacher for our first class announced.

Aimee and I went to our lockers then she asked, "You're almost late, did something happened?"

"Nothing. I just woke up late." I replied.

She turned to me from her locker and spoke, "Anyway, I bumped Courtney in the hallway before class. She's okay now."

"Really? That's good to hear. Let's go see her now." I excitedly told her.

We both walked fast to meet them at our place when the three of them suddenly popped from the right wing of the hallway.

Courtney smiled softly like she was still not feeling well and said, "Hi guys."

Aimee hugged her and said, "I forgot to hug you earlier."

When they broke from their hug I looked at her and slowly moved closer to hug her too.

She hugged me back and whispered, "How's Brian?"

I slightly pushed away and confusedly looked at her but inside I am really really shaking, "What?"
