Aimee and I woke up early in the morning for we planned to walk and talk on our way to school. As she confessed last night, I thought it would be better to tell her everything.

But as we talk about it, all I was able to tell her is that I made friends Brian. That we are just friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

"I believe in you Gab. I am sorry for what I did last night. I should've given you privacy." Aimee apologized.

"I understand Aimee, you don't need to apologize." I reassured her and we hugged each other.

We reached school ahead of time so we chose to spend our time seating and resting on a bench on the quadrangle.

--

Our class is about to finish and I am now looking forward to meet Brian at a coffee shop that is far enough from our school.

"Aimee I will have to go early after our class. I have some errands to do." I whispered to her as our teacher started to end our class by giving some reminders.

"Okay. Just promise you'll stay safe," she whispered back.

"I promise."

Brian already texted me that he's on his way to the place, so as soon as our teacher dismissed us, I said goodbye to Aimee and walked fast out of the campus and ride in a taxi cab.

I tried several times calling Brian to tell him that I am also on the road and to ask him if he's already there but he's not answering even a single phone call.

Now he is making me worry.

"I am sorry but can you drive a little faster?" I asked the cab driver.

I literally jump out of the cab as soon as I arrived at the coffee shop.

I went inside and searched for him but I didn't found him.

So I asked a waiter, "Uhm excuse me. Do you happen to see a guy of my age entered here? He's tall and quite muscular."

"Yeah I think I saw him went out of that door at the back. But he's with three other men," he replied.

"Thanks."

Three other men? I thought it will only be the two of us.

I ran through the back door where I found Brian crawling on the ground and those three men were punching and kicking him. They are beating Brian!

I ran to him and shouted at the boys, "Hey! Stop! What are you doing?!"

I stumbled down to him and cupped his face where I saw how horrible he looked like, "Oh my God Brian!"

The boys stopped beating him and when I looked at them I realized thy were wearing face masks.

"Who are you?! Why are you doing this?!" I screamed to them where I didn't noticed I was already crying so much.

"Watch out, Brian Spencer. This is just the beginning," said by one of the three before walking out.

"Stop crying. I hate seeing you like this. Don't worry about me this is nothing." Brian said to me.

"You're not okay! You're bleeding! I'll bring you to the hospital."

"No need for that, this are just bruises and not deep wounds." He reasoned.

"Okay. I'll bring you to mom."

I helped him stand up and walk through the other exit and took a cab ride to our house.

When we were inside the cab and I got a little calm, I called mom.

"Mom,"

"Are you crying baby? Why?"

"I am okay but something happened to Brian I need you to prepare for first aid."

"Okay I understand."

"Thanks mom, we will be there in a bit."

Call ended.

I looked at Brian and started crying, "Do you know who are they? Why did they beat you?"

He stared at me and said, "Hey look at me, I need you to calm down."

I stared back at him and complained, "I will not! They threatened you! That means that they will be doing this again to you."

He smiled. He just smiled like eveything is fine.

"Why are you smiling? Do you think this is funny? I came here running out of breath since you never answered any of your phone calls. Then I will found you crawling for your life because you're being beaten by three unknown jerks. Do you think this is a joke?"

"No! Of course I am getting scared a bit but I am smiling because you're here, overreacting with what happened to me," he explained.

"Oh, so you think I am overrea -"

I was stopped...by his lips. He kissed me. Brian kissed me.

"Seriously? You really sounded like a furious girlfriend, and that's how to stop a furious girlfriend from talking" he said after pressing his lips against mine.

I was completely shocked. I stopped talking and just sat back and looked over the window.

"I am sorry Gabrielle, I got carried away. I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry."

The whole ride until we arrived at our house was in complete silence.

--

"Who did this to you?" Mom asked Brian while putting something on his brow.

"Honestly, aww, I really don't have any idea Mrs. Tyler," he replied.

"Kids are really dangerous nowadays. Did you tell your parents?" Mom asked him because she knew his parents were not home yet.

"Uhm, not yet. I know what will be their reaction and I don't want them to worry too much." Brian explained.

"It's finished. Gabby, could you hold this ice bag to his eye? I 'll get you something to eat." Mom said after she finished doing some first aid treatment on Brian's bruises, luckily she's a pediatrician and knows stuffs like this.

"Thank you so much Mrs. Tyler." Brian thanked.

I put the ice bag on his left eye then he looked and said, "Are you not going to talk to me because of what I did?"

"How do you feel now?" I asked trying not to remember what he did to me earlier.

He smiled and whispered, "A lot better, cause you are here with me."

I hardly pressed the ice bag onto his eye and whispered back, "Stop it, mom might hear you."

He moaned in pain and said, "Aww, you are so cute."

I raised my brow and requested, "Would you stop making fun of me?"

"Okay okay sorry, I just want you to feel comfortable with me again. But that is true, you're cute when you're angry."

I rolled my eyes.

"I hope we could re-sched our supposedly date that turned out to be a wrestling match," he added.

I was supposedly saying That's not a date! but I said, "Wait, I am thinking. I believe I already heard that voice."

"The man who beat me?" he asked.

"Yeah. I am just not sure who he is."
