Red Diamond (English Version)

RD2 - 004: Introductions

GARNET: Welcome to Earth.

Red Diamond turned her head and looked at Garnet with curiosity, both were still covered in strawberry juice.

R.D.: Thanks, I guess. [pause] But who are you?

GARNET: I'm Garnet. — She answered with a smile.

Red Diamond turned around to Garnet still sitting on the ground, looking at the fusion with a thoughtful expression.

R.D.: Garnet.... [pause] Wait! Where's Sapphire? — She asked looking around, what made Garnet laugh again, attracting the diamond's attention to herself once more. The fusion glowed, then Ruby and Sapphire appeared holding hands and wearing clean clothes.

SAPPHIRE: I'm here, my Diamond. — She said with a small smile on her lips.

Red Diamond was frozen in place, looking at the blue gem as if she had been turned off or something similar.

By that time, Connie and Steven had joined Pearl and Amethyst, they put their weapons down – or made them vanish – and started watching together the encounter of diamond and sapphire. Seeing Red Diamond paralyzed, they started looking at each other apprehensively.

Suddenly, the diamond stood up and went to Sapphire, picking her up in her arms, giving the blue gem a big hug while crying, dirting her clothes again.

R.D.: I can't believe you are here! I'm so happy to see you! [pause] Sapphire, the others... I couldn't.... — Tears didn't stop coming to her eyes, the pain and the guilt came back with force. Red Diamond put Sapphire back on the ground while remaining on her knees in front of the other.

SAPPHIRE: Don't blame yourself so much. — She said, wiping some of the diamond's tears with her hands, caressing her face a little. — I'm also to blame. If I had not done what I was ordered...

R.D.: You wouldn't be here to help me. Neither would form Garnet with that ruby, who seems ready to beat me just for hugging you.

Sapphire looked at Ruby, who had her arms crossed and a grumpy expression, clearly jealous of the intimate relationship she had with Red Diamond. She laughed slightly at the state of her beloved, then turned her head back to Red Diamond.

R.D.: Sapphire, don't blame yourself. Even if you hadn't predicted my return, the other diamonds would have done what they did. But if I hadn't opened my big mouth, then maybe... Maybe things would have been different...

SAPPHIRE: Oh, D.Red....

DARK RED: You knew it was me?

SAPPHIRE: I confess that I found your attitude odd, but, yes, I knew it was you since you came back to normal.

DARK RED: But how?

SAPPHIRE: Your eyes and some locks of your hair have a darker shade of color than Red's.

DARK RED: I had no idea. I thought that you and the others recognized me by my bad manners and humor.

SAPPHIRE: That too. [pause] But you're not acting like before.

STEVEN: WHAT?? This is Dark Red?!

AMETHYST: Man, I could swear that was Red with all that crying.

DARK RED: Are they something to you? — She asked Sapphire with an annoyed expression while looking at Amethyst and Steven.

SAPPHIRE: They are my friends.

DARK RED: Hum... — She said, thinking if she would or not pay them back. Deciding against it, she turned her attention back to Sapphire. — What happened is that all this time we were 'out', Red and I had long talks, beyond many arguments, and we ended up realizing a few things about... our behaviors... — She said, scratching the back of her head.
