"Captain, wheres ghost?" Roach signed as he adjusted his balaclava, "follow me, sergeant."price replied as he nodded towards the hallway leading down to the mess hall
'Price wasn't lying.' Is all Simon could get through his mind
Ghost realized that when THE sergeant Gary 'Roach' Sanderson walked into the mess with price walking pretty much by his side, and looked directly at him that he was indeed not dreaming.
he wanted to badly to run over there and hug roach so tight he'd snap in half but the thought of showing affection in front of other people was not something ghost was rather fond of.
Roach brought his hand up to his grey balaclava and pulled it down to his chin revealing his soft smile. God he loved that damn smile. Gary walked over to ghost making sure to keep a small amount of distance to allow ghost to feel comfortable.
Gary didn't even get a minute to think or act before ghosts arms were grabbing him and tugging him into a warm, tight hug. (That hug wasn't the only thing that's tight yk. Sorry I give up on jokes bro.)
"god damn it, bug." Ghost whispered. Roach hugged him back and felt tears start to form in his eyes. Not from sadness more from the disbelief and happiness.
Ghost moved his head up and was met with soaps sad watery eyes looking at him from across the room, a weak and sad smile on his face.Roach eventually was the one to end the hug, surprisingly, he looked up and made eye contact with the Brit.
Ghost didn't look back though, he just kept his eyes on soap watching every single movement he made, watching the way his eye twitched as he tried to keep the tears from spilling, the way the corner of his mouth weakly curled up in a small smile while he made eye contact with ghost.
Ghost watched as soap began approaching him and his 'little' bug.
"Hello, ghost, welcome back roach." Soap smiled, a more happier looking smile when he came over, nodding at ghost then roach as he spoke.
Ghost visibly tensed up.
"Sergeant." Ghost nodded back, not bothering to say his name. He needed to talk to roach, then soap.
"Oh, Soap! Hello!" Gary signed quickly, soap never realized it before but Gary looked up to soap before he'd gone MIA. Soap just replied with a confused look, he didn't exactly understand sign language.
Gary must've picked up on this because he grabbed the note pad he keeps in his pockets for situations where he needs to communicate and quickly wrote down, 'hello soap how have you been?'
Soap weakly smiled, "I've been well, roach." He replied and patted him on the shoulder. "You mind talking to gaz for a minute, me and ghost need to talk."
Roach nodded and went to go find gaz. Roach and gaz were great friends before he was missing, they got alone well as they were the youngest in the task force. And they both loved zombie movies/shows.
"Simon." Soap said.
"Johnny." Ghost replied.
"What are we, what are we gonna be now that fucking Sanderson is back." Soap said, anger present in his tone. "Last time I checked we were partners, and nothing is changing now that he's back. I don't plan on getting back with him he left us, left me." Ghost replied again, his tone staying cold and simple as normal.
"No." Soap started. "No, we left him. Price only grabbed you we left him back there, burning."
