"Ghost! Ghost!" Soap yelled as he ran around the  corner to the mess after he left price's office. "Ghost?" He spoke once again as he approached empty table the Lieutenant was sat at, a note book sat in front of him as he scribbled down whatever he was thinking. mostly empty room. "Sergeant." Ghost replied, not looking up to meet the Scot's eyes, he removed his headphones, grabbing his phone to pause the song he'd been listening to. 'Call me little sunshine' by ghost. "You were married?" Soap started as he looked through the documents he held in his hands. "Why didn't you tell us? I've never seen a ring on your finger either." He finished just as quickly as he started.

"..what." Was all ghost replied with as he closed the notebook and looked up at the Scot who was stood in front of him. "For five years! Five!" The sergeant replied. "I found the documents in price's office." He explained.

Ghost straightened his posture as he practically stared holes into the sergeant, eyes wide with tears threatening to gloss over. He shook his head, more shaking the tears away then anything.

"Why were you in there, sergeant." Ghost replied and rested his hands on his lap, gently squeezing his own thighs. "Oh, I just wanted to know if he had pictures of you in your files or something.. but then I found this." Soap explained as he set down the documents. "Sooo, 1. Why only 5 years and 2. Did you wear the mask at your wedding." The Scot joked, grinning widely as he stared at the lieutenant that was sat in front of him.

Ghost sighed, sat there saying nothing for a good moment. Soap was starting to piss him off. "If you've already seen my face why were you looking for photos of me, sergeant." His voice was stern as normal. Not to fond of the Scot's joking. "I'm not sure, just wanted to see again Lt." Soap mumbled, hand coming up to rub the back of his neck. Something he did when nervous. "But you didn't answer my questions! Did you wear the mask??" Soap grinned once again in an attempt to lighten the mood with his jokes like he always did. Ghost wasn't exactly happy to be having this conversation. "Johnny." Ghost warned.

"He died. He was a loose end." Ghost growled as he stood up, staring down at the sergeant once again. "Shit Lt.. I'm so sorry I didn-" soap started. "It's fine." Ghost cut him off, wanting this conversation to end. He picked up his headphones and put them around his neck, grabbing his phone and shoving it into his back pocket. "And no, I didn't wear the mask. He didn't wear his either." Ghost explained with a stern voice as he collected himself mentally and picked up his notebook, putting his pen in the pocket of his hoodie before turning to walk away from the sergeant.

"This conversation is over with, sergeant." Ghost growled before walking off to his room, leaving soap standing there with the documents in his hands once again. He looked over to the door and noticed someone standing there, arms crossed and leaning on the cold metal door frame. That familiar scent of Smokey cigars was clear in the air as the Scot looked closer. Price and.. gaz? When did they get here?

"Sergeant MacTavish." Price called out. "Captain." Soap replied with a shakey voice. Welp, he was in shit. Not just with price, but also ghost. Oh god.

"My office. Now." Price growled as he stood up straight and turned to walk down the hall way to his office. Soap collected himself and held the documents tighter in his hands, he sighed and followed after price. A hand grabbed his shoulder as he reached the door frame. Gaz. "You better apologize to ghost, he seemed pissed." Gaz informed, removing his hand from soaps clothed shoulder.

Soap walked with shame spreading through his entire body. He did need to apologize to the lieutenant, badly.
