Abhimanyu walked back to his family, as soon as he saw Mahima off. He wasn't fond of his aunt either but he maintained some sort of restrained respect and decorum because the woman in Ruchika's mother. And Ruchika is much more than a sister to him, to openly disrespect her mother, even though he had his righteous reasons. Ruchika herself is one of the reasons.

As soon as he stepped closer, Abhishree ran to him, making Anirudh snicker in annoyance, "Ye lo, Hum ne ise itne chocolates diya, par ise fir bhi bhaiyya chahiye."

"Don't get jealous, Ani." Abhimanyu rolled his eyes as he picked up the little angel into his arms.

Abeer's heart warmed. It still felt surreal for him to have too many people to dote on his daughter. It was just him and his sister when they were children. And then, because of their father, Abhimanyu walked into his life. He didn't know when and how Abhimanyu's siblings joined the clan but they did and Abeer wasn't even given the chance to think that he just had his sister under the name of family to lean on. Abhimanyu was always there, and the thought of his daughter already having someone like Abhimanyu to love her, made him feel blessed, and grateful. That man only had love to give.

Akshara smiled and decided to tease her husband, "Shree baby ko apne fufa ji, bahut pasand hai." She pressed on the word Fufaji in order to rile him up and it worked. He hated the sound of it for many reasons. First one being, that word ties him to Abhishree through her and her husband didn't like it. According to him, his and his Shree's bond was special, which wasn't connected to anyone or anything.

Abhimanyu glared his wife as expected, "I am not that!" He hissed, mindful of his words because Shree was in his arms listening to everything he spoke attentively.

"No. He is my Abhi." The little girl protested.

"That's absolutely right Sweet heart!" Abhimanyu pressed an affectionate kiss to her cheek, while Akshara rolled her eyes, "You want to eat something? Shall I cook something for you?"

AbhiShree nodded cutely, immediately cashing on the precious privilege she was showered with.

"Kya chahiye meri Princess ko?"

"Stop it Abhi. She had her dinner. She gulped more than a handful of chocolates. No more food. Abhishree, baby aaj ka bahut hogaya na. Kal khaalo aap." Abeer tried to coax his daughter out of it, not giving Sonakshi any chance to interfere.

Abhimanyu glared his best friend, not quite appreciating his interference, "Bache ke khane pe hisaab rakhthe sharam nahi aati, tujhe?" He threw a disgusted look.

"Shut up Abhi. You have spoiled my daughter enough..." He would have continued if his wife didn't pull him back, "Let her eat Abeer." She gently spoke, understanding Abhimanyu's need to feed his princess. Her husband generally would have seen through it and given in, but ever since their daughter fell sick a couple of weeks ago, he's been oddly and overbearingly over protective. Abhimanyu would never take it to the point of spoiling Abhishree's health and they all knew it.

Abhimanyu paused and looked at his best friend, while Abhishree just buried her face into his neck, upset with her father's yell. He has been like that since so many days and hence why she missed Abhimanyu more than ever. It wasn't that likely for her to miss Abhimanyu too much because she had her parent's attention to her all the time.

"What is wrong with you Abeer? Why do you have to yell?" Abhimanyu hissed, but still didn't move forward to the kitchen, not having the heart to defy Abeer when he looked too serious. It isn't like Abeer never stopped him from spoiling his daughter. He did that always and all the attempts were half hearted. It would look like Abhimanyu overlooked or ignored Abeer's ranting for an onlooker but Abhimanyu knew that its only because Abeer wanted, he is able to ignore or overlook him.
