Bharadwaj was in his office cabin, with his team of lawyers... as they all discussed, to get him out of the situation, situation which seemed impossible to get out. Ethan Bennett, that man, closed all his ways. Civil Charges, Financial damages, Damage of Reputation ... and what not. The man really meant that he wanted to make a loud and clear public statement.
As if the professional mess wasn't already enough, Mrs. Bharadwaj walked into the cabin, and slapped her husband right across his face, in front of all the employees, before she threw a couple of photographs, obscene photographs of her husband with various women, few young girls too. She pointed a finger, as she warned, "You'll pay for this.", before she staged the walk out, as calm as she walked in.
Bharadwaj's son is studying in States, ready to finish his graduation in 6 months. His daughter, is settled in Australia, married to the love of her life. She owns a restaurant over there, and there are zero to none details about her in Internet.
"We can save the company." A lawyer's grim voice cut through the mayhem that his office was.
All the eyes turned to the lawyer. Bharadwaj looked at him hopefully, "You'll have to resign. And give away your share as penalty. Mrs. Bharadwaj is the majority shareholder."
Bharadwaj's eyes widened, as he is reminded of it.
"She never signed over her shares when you started this," the lawyer continued coldly, irritated with man who called himself businessman, "The documents are clear. While you were busy playing the face of the business, she quietly kept control where it mattered - on paper, just by 1%. Legally, this company has always been hers."
Bharadwaj's world tilted as the implications hit him, "She ..wouldn't..." He tried to hold onto something that would assure him that he isn't destroyed, but the lawyer continued, "She would. After what happened today. Your infidelity did the job!!"
The lawyer got up and buttoned his coat, "Sign the papers, resign, give over your shares as penalty to Tesla, and walk out unharmed, alive." He said in a no nonsense tone before he walked out.
The lawyer, smirked like a devil he is as he walked out, before he sent a message to the man he owed his life, "DONE!"
Anirudh took a nice, long, steam bath, nourishing himself, before he walked into the room, and picked out the comfiest clothes he could, a white sweatshirt and black shorts. He rolled up his sleeves, put on his slippers, and picked up the phone. When he saw the message, "DONE." He grinned. He pocketed his phone, before he ran down the stairs, only to find Abeer and Abhimanyu playing Chess, while Ruchika settled beside them, on the couch, her ankle elevated, and pillows arranged accordingly, as the girl peeked into the board, most probably in Abeer's side. While Devansh was on Abhimanyu's side, comfortable on the arm rest.
He walked to the four of them. His bhai looked up at him, with raised eyebrows. Anirudh nodded, "Its done."
Abhimanyu's smirk deepened as he moved his queen with calculated precision, "Check and Mate, Abeer!"
Abeer didn't mind loosing for once, as he heard Anirudh's sweet words. Ruchika shook her head, as he looked at the men surrounding her, sitting in the comfort of their home, playing Chess, as if they aren't destroying a businessman who was a step away from getting into Asia's Top Five.
Anirudh lifted Ruchika's legs before sitting down and placing them on his lap, as he snatched grabbed his bhaiyya's fruit juice. Ruchika tried to retreat but Anirudh shot her a look, which screamed, 'I almost raised you.' That had Ruchika relax.
