2 Days after Siddharth has taken oath as the Chief Minister...
"Bhaiyya... Aaj ke meeting ka details maine bhej diya. Aap check kar lena." Siddharth informed his brother, peacefully having the first meal of their day.
"Tu apne kaam pe focus kar. I will handle all of this." That was the thirteenth time Abhimanyu asked Siddharth to mind his own business but his brother refused to leave his old responsibilities until he wrapped it all nicely, for someone to takeover from him easily.
"Pata hai aap karloge, lekin ye project main handle karne wala tha na, isliye keh raha tha. You'll have to be more careful, because I won't be there with you."
"Careful Kyu?" Devansh asked confused.
A teasing smirk made its way to Siddharth's lips before he composed himself, "Home minister ke sath meeting hain na Dev. Isliye. We got to be careful with Stalkers."
"Ohhhh. You are right. We can't trust a Stalker."
Abhimanyu rolled his eyes but ignored the idiots anyhow. "Akshara pass me the juice please." He asked his wife, who passed it wordlessly.
"Juice kyu? You'll have your favourite coffee waiting for you Bhaiyya. Skip the Juice for now." Anirudh chimed in.
"Yeh kya favorite coffee favorite coffee laga rakha hain tum sab ne?! Ab Home Minister hain toh kya hua? Apne Pati ka favourite hot drink bhi vo ready nahi rakh sakti kya?" Akshara lost her calm finally.
"Ofcourse she can do that Bhabhi. Lekin..."
"That's enough!" Abhimanyu warned before got up and walked away with his juice. And no one dared to approach the topic again.
As Akshara stepped into her room to grab a file, she suddenly found herself pulled into the familiar warmth of her husband's arms, his strong hold catching her off guard. As much as she wanted to melt in his arms, she had a meeting she couldn't miss, "I have a meeting Abhi. And so do you! This isn't the time." She whispered but her tone and eyes suggested otherwise.
"Do you realise how tempting you look in sarees?" His voice was low as he murmured against her ear, sending a shiver down her spine. A satisfied smirk adorned his face at her reaction before he whispered, "My Little Stalker."
"Abhi! We really don't have time for this!" She tried to persuade but she knew it was an useless attempt, more than that, she wanted it to be an useless attempt.
"So lets not waste time, Akshara."
Home Minister's office
As Abeer and Abhimanyu sat in the Home Minister's office, waiting for the Madam Minister, Abeer couldn't resist taking a jab.
"Madam Minister is late," he remarked, leaning back with a teasing grin. "And she says she's so punctual about time."
Abhimanyu grinned knowing fully well where Abeer was going with the jab.
Suddenly, a sharp voice echoed from the doorway. "I'm not late, Mr. Basu. You're just early." Right on cue, the clock struck 10 irritating Abeer like anything. Nonetheless, he smiled sheepishly, taking the brotherly liberties before he spoke, "I was just joking, Akshu."
Abhimanyu felt like palming his face. Akshara didn't like bringing her personal life into the office. And Abeer knew it all too well. Maybe that is why he tends to irritate his sister, taking those personal liberties which are enough to annoy Akshara, but not enough for Akshara to take some effective action. The realization made him smile like an idiot but he managed not to smile.
As expected, Akshara wasn't having it. "It's Mrs. Roy, Mr. Basu. Let's keep this professional, shall we?" she responded curtly, walking past him and taking her seat with an air of authority.
