Unfortunately or fortunately, Siddharth happened to overhear the part of the conversation, not really a conversation but anyways, he overheard his bhaiyya dictating the law!

He technically overheard it, but he is officially still unaware of it. Before the law became official and his hands are tied, he felt like he should talk to Devansh. The boy has crossed too many red lines, and Siddharth hoped that the boy realized what he did. He felt the need to prepare the boy, so that the things don't escalate more than what they are already. He never had any first hand experience of his bhaiyya's anger, but he definitely did watch his other brothers being at the end of such anger. And that was more than enough motivation for him to toe all the lines. But Devansh didn't even have second hand experience like he did. With these thoughts in mind, he entered Devansh's room, only to find him staring the family wall, while Anirudh settled on a couch to a side, doing nothing.

His gaze met with his bhaiyyu's, who raised his eyebrows in askance. He made his way to his bhaiyyu while Devansh was lost in his own thoughts to notice his presence.

"Aap bhi gussa ho?" Siddharth asked, as he sat beside Anirudh.

"Tu nahi hain?"

Siddharth sighed and palmed his face, "Bhaiyya doesn't want anyone of us to talk to Dev, and let him be on his own. I overheard him."

"Handle nahi karpayega." Anirudh replied calmly, as he looked at Devansh. He saw it coming already. He sighed, and looked back at Siddharth, "Gussa karna hain toh abhi karle. You won't get another chance. And just make sure the boy is introspecting, not passing time." He repeated the words that were said to him, before he walked out of the room, drained completely. The day has been too long and Anirudh could sense his whole week being exactly the same.

"Dev." Siddharth nudged Devansh, startling him, "Where were you lost?" He asked, with a frown. Devansh shook his head. He was staring at his pictures as Childhood memories rushed.

Siddharth let it be and asked, "Race kyu kiya tune?" He couldn't help the anger in his tone, which only made Devansh look down, whispering, "I am sorry."

"Maine voh nahi pucha! Race kiya kyu tune? Aadat hain yeh? Or was this the first time?"

Devansh whispered, still looking down, "First time."

"Why?" Siddharth pressed.

"I couldn't help myself." His voice was barely touching the lower decibel limit of a whisper.

Siddharth felt angry all over again, listening to the answer. So, the boy raced, just for thrill. He gambled with his life, just for FUN! Great!! Just great. Siddharth thought, Devansh racing is the most stupidest thing he could ever do, but doing it just for fun, surpassed it all.

"I assume Bhaiyya doesn't know this yet?" He enquired, only to get an answer in positive.

Ofcourse!! If the man knew it, he wouldn't still be thinking of teaching lesson patiently. The lesson would have been taught by now.

Siddharth palmed his face when he heard soft sniffles, "Ab ro kyu raha hain?" He snapped, but when Devansh flinched, whispering another sorry, Siddharth's heart went out for his brother. He sighed, and made his little brother look at him, before he wiped away the tears, careful of the nasty bruise on his cheek. His bhaiyya was harsher than he ever was. When another set of tears are ready to stream down, Siddharth warned gently, "Shhh. Stop crying. Rone se kuch nahi honewala. These tears, are only going to make everything worse, Dev. Bhaiyya yeh aansu dekh ke, helpless zarur feel karenge, Lekin Helplessness se unka gussa sirf badega. He isn't going to melt. So, STOP. CRYING."
