Konnichiwa!

I've done lots of research for this one shot, which is keeping me inspired for the Asian culture.

To keep it traditional, I'll be using a few different terms. Beware that these may not be entirely accurate, so if you see something wrong, I would appreciate the advice in translations. But also keep in mind that it's Ninjago, so if something isn't really right, just assume it's a Ninjargon thing. 🤷‍♀️

So here are a few that are used:

• Kenroku-en garden - A type of garden in japan.

• san - An honorific used at the end of a persons name, the japanese equivalent to english Mr., Ms. Usually to show respect for someone new or older.

• kun - Similar to san, addressed to males. A sign of affection and/or familiarity. I've heard a lot of different opinions on who you should address this to, but just assume for now that it's used like that.

• chan- Same as - kun. An honorific used for females. A sign of affection and/or familiarity.

• Imperial Highness - Term used to adress royalty. (I feel like it explains itself lol)

• Tanto - A japanese dagger used for stabbing.

• Yukata - A type of clothing, very pretty flowy gowns. A Yukata is used for spring summer weather and Kimonos are used for winter and fall. I imagine Harumi's Yukata in the style of the Han dynasty.

• Shujin - Is husband in japenese.

• Reiki - A healer that uses reiki medicine, an ancient japanese healing technique, also called kampo.

• Kinzoku - Is metal in japanese

• Samurai - An elite and highly trained soldier.

• Haru - It's a name, means light, sun.

Those are the terms that I have gathered. If I've missed any, don't be afraid to ask or search it up yourself. This is also my apology for not uploading in awhile. Annyy waayyyy, you all are probably done with my rambling, so please, enjoy the story!

A young woman with white hair walked through a kenroku-en garden, the silk of her yukata robes flowed about her as the soft grass tickled the soles of her feet. The girl admired the koi fish that swam about the pond, nibbling on sea plants.

Bonsai and cherry trees were scattered about, casting shade over the girl. She felt at peace breathing in the clear air and enjoying the serenity of the garden.

But there was a feeling at the back of her mind, it was almost like the feeling of danger. She tried to shake it off as paranoia of being empress, but it only stayed. The white haired girl was starting to wonder if she should hurry up her game of hide-and-seek incase an assassin was nearby, but thought better of it.

So on she walked, trying to calm herself with the relaxing scent of cherry blossoms.

"Where are you Haru?!" She shouted into the depths of the elaborate garden. The game of hide-and-seek was stretching on a bit longer then she liked, worry for her son began to grow as she continued her search.

The sudden rustling of plants grabbed her attention. She slowly walked over, ready to bring her son out of hiding. But the closer she got, the more her motherly worry grew. She sub-conciously reached for the tanto hidden in the wraps of her yukata as she crept closer to the bush.
