The whole day I've been avoiding Tiffany and her posse of friends. By the look she gave me at the café, I knew that I was a goner. She's known for gossiping, so it would be safe to assume that she's going to spread some nasty rumors about me. I never had the biggest social life, but if Clay started hating me because of her it would absolutely break my heart. She's been my friend for a long time now though, maybe I should just talk to her and sort it out. It's a bit of a rough predicament that we're in but I'm sure we could figure something out. After all, she's always been nice to me. 'There's no sense in worrying about this. It probably only feels big because it involves someone I'm interested in.' I thought as I looked up to the cloudy sky. Despite having quite a few clouds, it was rather bright out and it cause me to squint my eyes. I didn't want to go to school but my parents were far too smart to believe the not-feeling-well excuse, so I didn't even bother with trying. As a quiet protest, I moved at a slower pace than usual.

It was a lose-lose situation no matter what. If Tiffany got to be with Clay, then Y/n would lose her crush to another, and have to be a third wheel for her two friends. But if Y/n dated Clay, she'd constantly have this guilt of "stealing" her best friend's crush. There was also a huge possibility of him not wanting to date either of them. She tried to rack her mind for a solution, but it was to no avail.

I watched my Y/n shuffle past from behind a classroom door. Taking a moment to absorb her immense beauty, I watched as her h/l hair fluttered from the gentle breeze of the air conditioning. Her e/c eyes are so soulful, I almost melted while getting myself lost into them. One day, those gorgeous eyes will be staring at me and no one else. But something was different today. She seemed to be sad, making me internally panicked. My darling is upset! I swear if Tiffany or Clay laid a hand on my precious Y/n, their blood will be spilled. I suppose I should skip a few classes so I'll be able to look after her, a sacrifice I'm more than willing to take. I slunk back into the shadows of the unlit classroom to get ready for my day. The protection of her is far more important than anyone or anything inside this retched building. 'Oh, Y/n. If only you were able to tell me who was troubling you. Then, I'd be able to take care of it, just for you~'

As the day progressed with no signs of Tiffany, I began to be less focused on it. I scribbled out some biology notes from the smart board that I found important for the upcoming final. Unconsciously shivering, I come to the realization that it feels as if somebody was staring at me. I took a subtle scan of the classroom to see if I could catch the culprit in the act, but it was to no avail. After a short while, I raised my hand to go to the bathroom. I didn't actually need to go, but I was growing tired of sitting in one place in silent study and maybe going for a short break would relieve that strange feeling of being watched. Stepping up and out of my seat, I headed to the classroom room door. It opened with a click and I walked off to the bathroom. My black sneakers made light tapping noises as I strolled down the hallway. Turning left into the washroom, I went up to the sink and sighed. Leaning my hands on the counter I looked at my face in boredom. I can only stay for a couple minutes as to not set off any alarm bells to my teacher, so I might as well make this little break worthwhile. Just as I was about to pull out my phone, the person I wanted to see the least today stepped inside.

Y/n's eyes widened in shock at the sight of Tiffany, she couldn't believe this was happening right now. Tiffany glowered at the surprised girl, the three girls who walked in with her carried that same expression.

Tiffany spoke first, "Y/n. Just the person I wanted to see." Her scowl only grew

"Tiffany, if you'll just let me explain m-maybe we could work something out?" Y/n stammered out, attempting to bring the ginger haired girl back to her senses.

"I don't think we can 'work' this out." She snarled harshly, making air quotes at the word 'work' with her fingers.

It was all a blur. I'm lying on the floor of the bathroom with Tiffany and her friends surrounding me. They're kicking me and I could feel the sharp pains all over my body. I'm helpless as there's four of them and only one of me. I feel so much betrayal. How could my friend possibly ever do this to me?Tiffany manages to punt me right in the ribs, knocking all the wind out of me. At this point, I'm convulsing in pain on the coral pink floor tiles. It hurts so bad, I can barely handle the pain. My cries in pain are ignored as one of the girls, a blonde one, yanks my arm harshly. I didn't even have time to react as just after, Tiffany forced my head to face her by grabbing me by the hair.

"I can't believe you stole him away from me. Don't even try to chalk that little date you two had at the cafe. I saw the way he looked at you. You probably only forced yourself to have a crush on him just because you're jealous of me." Tiffany glared at me, a crazed fierceness in her eyes.

It took me a few seconds to register what she said. I knew the last part she said to be false, but what did she mean by the way Clay looked at me? "Tiffany... what are you-" I managed to cough out before being interrupted.

"Shut. Up!" She shouted. There were tears in her eyes, but unlike the ones clouding my vision, her's were frustrated. "You know you're never going to get a chance with Clay, right? You might've once, but I'll make sure he's not even going to be able to stand the sight of you after this.

As soon as I saw her pull out a small Swiss Army knife, the adrenaline kicked in. I writhed in search for an escape, but I was grabbed and forcibly held down by Tiffany's cronies. The exit was just beyond that wooden door, but it never felt so far away. I looked back up into Tiffany's face as she stared right back at me. A sadistic grin twisted on her mouth. She held the knife above her head. It glinted in the light, making my heart pound. What's going to happen to me?

Suddenly, someone bursted through the door. At this point Y/n's tears were too plentiful to even make out their face. The mysterious person tackled Tiffany to the ground. With seemingly super human strength, they wrenched the knife from her hands and shoved her aside. They pointed the knife at the other girls that were holding Y/n down. Tiffany's friends quickly dropped her and ran off to avoid trouble. Without any energy to do anything, Y/n flopped down on the tiled she was previously beaten on. The stranger dropped the knife and slowly walked up to her like she was a frightened deer. The last thing she remembered was the feeling of being picked up as if she was a fragile piece of glass before falling unconscious.

[Holy jeez this was super angsty. I really hope you don't mind, guys. I'm sorry for not being able to post yesterday, but it looks like I'm only going to be able to post around twice a week. Until next time,]
