When Shinsou left U.A, he was disappointed that Yuuei leapt out of his bag and ran away. Although he knew it was probably because she was growing tired of being in the bag, he was still disappointed. Foolishly, he had thought the cat could understand him.

On his walk home, he considered ways to convince the cat to follow him to his house. If she was a stray, he was going to keep her. She seemed extremely comfortable with his affections despite being a stray.

"Shooting Star... Attack!!" the girl jumped in Shinsou's path with her arms spread wide. For a second, he feared Y/n would attempt to hug him, but she maintained her distance and awkward stance. "How was your day, Shinsou?" she asked with a goofy grin on her face.

Rolling his eyes, Shinsou walked past her. He still hoped that if he ignored her enough, she would give up.

"I hope it was good!" she said, following him. "I don't want you to have a bad day."

They were only a few blocks away from where she turned to go to her neighborhood, Shinsou would just have to hold out for a few more minutes.

"Do you have a lot of work today?" Y/n continued, despite his lack of response. Even if he didn't talk, she wanted to fill the awkward silence. "I'm not the best at school, but maybe we could do some work together? I know about an ice cream shop close by."

"I don't need any help," he huffed. Ever since she showed up, she would always try to invite him somewhere. It was like she had nothing else to do but bother him.

"You must be a genius then!" she exclaimed.

Shinsou raised a brow as he glared at her. "Are you mocking me?"

She furiously shook her head. "I'm just impressed! Sometimes I still need help with my work even though I'm getting older." She finally looked away from him, focusing instead on the sidewalk. "No one at school helps me though, so I've been falling behind for a while."

It was hard to doubt that. Shinsou couldn't see her making friends when she seemed so annoying. "Just hire a tutor," he said, also turning his gaze to the sidewalk.

Y/n smiled at him and poked his arm. "Do you happen to be looking for a part time job?"

"No."

She laughed, "What a quick response! It's okay, though. You should be focusing on yourself anyways." When he didn't respond, she kept talking. "You look a bit more tired than usual. U.A. must be putting you through the ringer, but I know you can do it so there's no need to worry!"

"Who said I was worried?"

Y/n walked ahead of him, stopping in front of her street. "Of course you're not, because you're going to be a great hero! I just want to remind you that I'm here to support you the entire way. Even if you don't return my feelings, I'm happy with just this."

L/n Y/n has spouted out many nonsensical things before, but this was the first time Shinsou had tolerated what she said. It left him wondering how she could claim her feelings were so strong.

"This was our longest conversation yet. Thank you Shinsou, for talking to me. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you!" she quickly said before running down the street.

As he watched her sprint away, he muttered "So weird..." and continued his walk home.

The entire way back, he tried to recall if he ever met the girl before to give her any reason to care for him so deeply. However, he couldn't remember seeing her at all. It didn't make any sense how she seemed to know him so personally.

He would imagine that he would remember meeting someone like her before.
