***"Okay, here I go!!"***

She jumped in and Neteyam caught her "You did it!" " Yeah but my tail kind of hurts" I went underwater and looked at her tail closely it looked very thin and had marks on it. It had similar stripes that I have on my tail.

I went back up "What happened to your tail?" "Something happened before I came here and I got badly injured" Poor girl, she's going through so much at such a young age "Let's swim" I took her hand and Neteyam took her other hand "Can we go underwater??" "If that's what you want, hold your breath" we dived underwater

I turned to look at her and she had the biggest smile on her face she swam well for someone who has an injured tail, and we swam back up for some air "That was amazing!" She gave both of us a high five "Well you did well for someone with an injury" she laughed "I want to do this by myself!" "Are you sure?" "Mhm, I'll be fine". She held her breath and went underwater, I bet she will be fine.

"So, just me and you know huh," Neteyam said still looking down watching the girl go deeper and deeper, I smiled and pulled him in by the waist lifted his chin, and immediately kissed him

We kissed, and oh it felt good even better.

After at least I would say 20 minutes of us kissing and touching each other, Neteyam took his lips off of mine. I groaned 20 minutes wasn't enough "Did you see Ms'tiyeuh ever come up for air?" "Who?" He gently slapped me, and even if the slap was gentle it still hurt

"Ow, I was just joking and no I haven't seen her come up...for..." Realization hit me..she can't swim, injured tail "Fuck! We gotta look for her" I held my breath and went underwater Neteyam shortly followed we swam and swam.

I looked around for her the only thing I could visibly see was fish and coral we kept swimming till Neteyam tapped my shoulder and pointed at a small body that was intertwined with seaweed, we rushed over and tried to grab her body but the seaweed wasn't letting go.

I took out my knife and cut them off, finally, she was free, and we swam back for air. I noticed that the shore was near we swam till we got there

Neteyam put her body down on the sand and performed CPR I was checking her pulse.

She isn't responding

We performed CPR about 5 times no response.

She's gone

"Oh, sweet mother of eywa" I took my hands away from her hands and looked down at them. I then looked up at Neteyam he looked like he was about burst into tears "Net-" I tried grabbing his hand but he slapped it away

"She's gone, dead no longer here Ma'yan...We killed her" I sat closer to him "No...no no no, we didn't kill her" "It was my idea to swim" "It was my idea to let her swim by herself" he looked at me I noticed tears already coming down his face "I have to take blame and punishment"

I rolled my eyes "You're not taking the fall for this, I'll say it was me but..that's gonna be difficult because they are gonna ask why we aren't at training" "We're gonna be in huge trouble" Neteyam cried..tears were falling down

Tears after tears "You know.. a few white lies won't hurt" he looked back at me "What do you mean lies?" "Well think about it..we can't tell them we went swimming with her and we kissed and left her to swim by herself..we have to lie!" "Lying makes it worse! Even if they believe us! the guilt we will have"
