Y/n x Draco

Y/n's POV
—————————————————————————

It was Pansy's birthday and she was organizing a party for Slytherins. I was helping her with decorations when she entered the room and said
"Y/n I need your help!"

"I am already helping you with decorations," I said as I put the roses in a big vase made of fragile glass.

"I need you to give the invitations. There are few people left. Please..." she made puppy eyes to convince me.

"Okay, fine. Give me the invitations." She gave me the invitations and I left. There were about ten left. The invitations were indicated with the names of recipients.

I almost gave everyone their invitations for Friday's party. There was left only one, and it was Malfoy, Draco Malfoy.

I can't go to him. I hate him. He is a bully and a rude moron honestly. We don't interact that much, I don't even think that he knows that I exist. Anyways, I have nothing to lose. So, I'll go and give him the invitation. "For Pansy" I whispered to him and knocked on his door.

A few seconds later he opened the door. And there he was, Malfoy. The first time I had a closer look at him. His pale skin, light grey eyes, and shiny silver rings on his hands. He looked so good. But still, he is a bad person.

I didn't realize that I was staring at him for a like thirty seconds until he spoke. "Are you gonna say something, or...."

"Oh yeah sorry. I am just tired. I am here to give you the invitation to Pansy's birthday party, on Friday." I handed the invitation to him. He took a few seconds to read it and replied, "So you want me there?"

"Pansy invites you, so yeah, she wants you to come. It's logical."

"Yeah, I know that Pansy wants me there, unless why would she send me an invitation." He spoke with a calm and a little sarcastic tone.

"So what are your questions?" I tried to hold my anger, but he was so good at annoying people.

"Do you want me there?" He specifically mention the word "you" to highlight that it was about me.

"I don't care. It's Pansy's party, so you are coming for her right?" What does he want from me? Why can't he leave me alone? Why can't he just take the invitation, thank me and go?

"Yeah, are you going to be there?" He talked with a calm tone. I kind of wanted to continue the conversation. Right now he seemed so nice.

"I guess, it's my sister's birthday." I didn't want to go to that party, because there will be so many people. Pansy is a popular girl in our grade and she is friends with a lot of people. I don't like popularity. One day those fake friends would leave you. So I'm good with a few, but real friends.

"Pansy never told me that you are sisters. I thought you are just friends. That's surprising." Draco seemed confused. I was just about to leave and say goodbye when he asked a question, "Are you, twins?"

"Yeah..." I was not supposed to tell that. Pansy being popular makes everyone so proud that no one looks at me and my successes. I felt humiliated. It seemed like I was the useless twin, whom no one was expecting.

"That's why you look alike her!" Draco continued, "Come in, we can talk inside."

I went inside. Surprisingly his room was well organized. On his desk I saw a bowl with green apples, he made green tea real quick and we sat down for a talk.

I didn't know I was willing to talk with him, but he seemed so nice. I guess he wanted to help or understand me. I felt like a strong force was pulling me to him and I could not leave his room without finishing the conversation.

"So you are twins?" Draco asked again to make sure that he heard the right information while taking a sip of an aromatic tea.

I just nodded in answer. We sat in silence for a minute and then he gasped as he realized or remembered something important. "So it's your birthday too?" his eyes widened and he looked at me.

"Yeah, tomorrow is both Pansy's and mine birthday."

"Then, why is the Pansy the only one celebrating?" I was expecting this question. And it was the time of truth. I took a deep breath and replied "You know, everyone knows her, and she is so popular. I guess there is no place for me. I don't celebrate my birthday."

"It's not fair Y/n! You should celebrate it too." Draco was upset about what he just heard.

"I don't want to. There will be so many people at our house tomorrow. I do not want a huge party."

"Then we will make a small one. What about me and you and your birthday?" Draco was ready to not go to Pansy's epic party to make me smile.

I could not just say yes, so I asked, "What about Pansy's party?"

"There will be so many people that she would not even notice that we are gone. I'll see her and then come to you and take you to a unique place where we will celebrate your birthday. What about that?"

I can't believe someone would do that for me. I feel so happy. I could not stop smiling, "Sure, I'll be waiting for you."

I again smiled as he walked with me till we reached the door and smiled back at me.

I went to my room happy that tomorrow I will be celebrating my birthday, not just Pansy's.

* * *
The next day I was helping Pansy to finish up the decorations. It was time to get ready. I chose to wear a beautiful green dress with a small silver necklace.

When Pansy went to celebrate her birthday with a bunch of friends and forgot about me I sneaked out and met Draco with flowers. He looked amazing in costume. He handed me flowers and smiled. I smiled back and we went to the secret and unique place about which Draco was talking.

When we finally reached the place, I looked amazed. It was a small place with a picnic organized. There was everything I needed for happiness; the beautiful voice of birds, slapping branches, delicious food, and Draco.

There was a little cake with candles on it. Draco came close to me and whispered, "Close your eyes and make a wish."

This was the best day of my life, later we talked about life and looked at the sky which was full of stars. The weather was warm and nothing was bothering us.

There were only us;
                                       me
                                                  and
                                                              Draco.
