C H A P T E R 5

Blue's POV

I was just getting out of the shower when I heard my phone ring. I picked it up and answered it and continued to dry myself.

"Hey beautiful " Kenny said on the other side of the line.

"What's up ?" I replied lotioning myself.

"Well I'm at the station today and you're nowhere to be found."

"Well it's my day off today." I replied

"Okay but can I see you tonight?"

"Uhm.. yeah no problem I will come to the hotel room."

"No I was thinking why not come to my place instead.. I mean if your comfortable with it, but if not we could totally go to the hotel room because I wouldn't want to make you unco-"

Gosh he's so cute, I thought as I interrupted him. "Kenny it's totally fine with me." I chuckled "I could never get uncomfortable around you. No matter the place."

He breathed out loudly  "Okay thanks I'll send the location."

"Okay bye." I said as I hung up. Stage two of my plan, Complete.

It's been a week since I gave Kenny my numbers at the bathroom and we've been talking ever since. He hasn't been to the station where I work ever since that day because he's always busy with big cases in the FBI. Everyday for seven days , he'd pick me up from 'work' and we'd get dinner and he'd take me to my apartment. Sometimes we would go to the hotel , have sex and get to know each other.

He is really not what I imagined him to be. He is a very polite person for someone as big as him. I always imagined him as this arrogant and cocky big shot because of his achievements. But he is neither of those. He is very caring and funny. I know this is a mission but I'm finding myself enjoying his company more than I should.

He has hinted once or twice about being in a serious relationship with me. Which is good for me because he will allow me into his personal space and I will be able to get the flash drive sooner and get out of here.

I learned that all the important evidences are held by him and do not stay at the station because it's too risky. So only he knows where they are. My bet is at his apartment, I mean the guy is very smart and he wouldn't put them in a secret place that he can't gaurd all the time because if he does, he risks being followed.

Now that I will have access to his apartment, I will perfectly execute my mission and look for the flashdrive.

I pulled my car in a long building that looks like it has at least twenty floors. I got out of my car, closed the door and locked it.

I pressed the buzzer and a man answered. "name of the person you're looking for ?"

"Uhh .. Kenneth Brown ?"

He went silent for a few seconds and another voice came through the intercom.
"Eighteenth floor, second door on your left." Kenny said as the large glass doors opened. I walked in and headed straight to the elevators, getting inside and pressing 18.

The elevators stopped and dinged as the doors opened. I walked out and headed straight to the second door. There were only three doors in this floor.

The door opened before I could knock and I was pulled into a tight hug. "Hey." He said in to my neck.
I chuckled greeted back while pulling away.

We got inside and he locked the door.

"Smells nice in here, are you cooking something ?" I asked as I took a look around the huge apartment. Luxury didn't faze me since I grew up in one of the most richest families in Mayville, but his apartment was beautiful nonetheless. His apartment was huge and the colours of the interior were black,white and grey. The floor to ceiling window that occupied the whole eastern side had an amazing view on the city.

White tiles all around the walls and floor with no stains, this place was clean.

"I thought I'd make something for my girl." He smiled at me as we sat down on the white couch with many cushions.

"Your girl ? We've known each other for what? like a week? and I'm already your girl ?" I asked as I smiled back at him.

"It's actually a week and two days and yet it feels like a year." He said. "The happiest nine days of my life."

Okay, He is very naive for such an intelligent person or he's really into me.
Either way he's made my mission way easier for me. His feelings for me will create trust between us and I'll happily execute what I came for her a lot sooner.

Looks like everything's going according to the plan..

Kenny's POV

I sound so pathetic and stupid. But I can't help it. Every second I spend with Blue I feel alive and content, it's like she fills up the hole in my heart. I've never been in a serious relationship because with responsibilities like mine, you don't have time for a personal life. But with her, I found myself wanting to spend every second of the day with her .

Every moment without her feels like forever. Gosh I'm a simp for a girl I barely even know. But if there's one thing I do know is that I want make her mine. There's something special about her that I can't figure out. I did research on her and found out that she was raised by her grandfather who was in the military and when he'd go to war she'd stay with her grandfather's spouse. It stated that they had been together for eleven years but never got married. She went to military school through her grandfather.

Other than that she's just a simple girl who rotates between her apartment and work. Nothing suspicious. I don't think I've ever been happy this happy ever since my parents died.

I'd always beat myself up for not getting justice for my parents death and I still do because it's the sole reason why I do what I do. To make her pay for their death. But I took an oath to find her and get my revenge even if it is the last thing I do.

I took vow to find the person I hate the most in this world and make her suffer like my parents suffered.
