I looked at the number on my screen for the hundredth time today. I don't know what I'm scared of, I'll just call him, tell him we need to meet because I have something important to tell him, and that's all.

I was about to press call when I got notified on my that there's someone at the gate. My phone notified me every time there's someone at the gate of the mansion, no matter my location. I know it may sound too much, but I'm heavy on security when it comes to my children. I heard the buzzer, looked at the security screen and opened the gate when I saw that it was Maddie.

She entered the dining room moments later, wearing a red two piece tracksuit. "Hey" I said and she smiled hugging me.

"What's up ?" She asked as she sat on the couch.

"Well.. I wanted to apologize for the way I reacted and just leaving like that." I told her. "You were right and I didn't wanna hear it, or admit the truth. I'm sorry."

"It's okay, I'm sorry too. Maybe I was overstepping a little ? I'm sorry too."

"You weren't overstepping. You were being real with me. That's why I love you so much. You don't tell me what I want to hear, you tell me what I need to hear."

"That does mean you'll do it ?" She asked me and I nodded.

"I got his contact info from my dad. I'm just practising what to say when I call." I chuckled.

"Well, just know that I'm there y-"

"Mom!" Kiara interrupted as she came down the stairs. She wasn't wearing her glasses, they were in her hands. She broke them, again.

"Hey aunt Maddie." She said as she went to hug her.

"Hey baby." Maddie smiled. "Why aren't you at the Busy Bees today ?" She asked referring to their day care.

"We don't have school on Saturdays."

"Wow, so you know what day it is today ?"

"Yes, I know all the days of the week." She said excitedly and the glasses in her hands fell down. Her smile dropped as she looked at them remembering why she came down in the first place.

She picked up the glasses and turned to me. "Mom they broke by mistake. I was trying to get a book from the top shelf then climbed the chair but then the glasses fell and I went down to reach for them but then I also fell from the chair and on top of the glasses and then they.. they crashed."

"Are you hurt ?" I asked her looking for any injuries and she answered no.

"You need to be careful. You could've called me to help you." I said as I took the broken glasses from her hands. "You also can't get new glasses every month, you need to be more responsible."

I hate that she has to wear them. Yes, she needs them but Kiara is a four year old and she knows nothing about being responsible. Wearing glasses has become more of a responsibility to her, I mean she has to restrict herself from playing certain games because if she took them off, she wouldn't be able to see properly. I wish I was the one who suffered from Cataracts, not her. If roles were reversed and I had the ability to take every one of their difficulties or problems.. I'd do it within a blink of an eye.

"Come on, we'll take out new ones." I said as I kissed her cheek. I told Maddie I'll be back in a minute and took Kiara upstairs to their room.

"I'm not cleaning that." I said as we passed the playroom that was messy with toys scattered all over the floor.

"Yada will.." She stopped herself when she saw the glare I gave her. "I mean me and Kai will clean it up."

We entered their bedroom and found Kai watching TV, looking like he saw a ghost. His hands on top of his head, eyes wide open, mouth wide open, hundred bucks says John Cena was defeated.
