C H A P T E R 48

Kenny's POV.

"What's wrong with you ?" A female's voice said behind the door.

"This time it wasn't my fault mom, I swear." The little boy answered.

"Kai it's the third time you've been in a fight this month! Third time." She sighed heavily. "Do you want to stay home alone and bored while your sister comes to daycare everyday ?"

"No."

"Continue with beating people up then you'll stay home, I promise you."

"But mom he started it!" He defended.

"What did he do ?"

"He called my sister four eyes."

"Who beats you up ? You call your sister four eyes all the time!"

"Yes, me mom, me!"

I looked at Matteo who was also listening to their conversation. "Why did you call her four eyes ?"

"I swear Uncle K I didn't mean to tease her. I heard him call her that and I thought that was her nickname." He said truthfully. "I thought she was beautiful and wanted to be friends with her, I didn't-"

"I understand." I ran my hands through his hair. The girl must wear glasses, I mean it is a phrase used for people who wear glasses. Which made me go back to the little girl from yesterday, she had the most beautiful eyes, but they were hidden under those glasses.

Matteo unintentionally made the little boy angry. The little boy thought he was standing up for his little sister. This really didn't need to escalate this far, I thought to myself as I stood up. I needed to clarify everything to the little boy's mother.

"I'll be back okay ?" I told Matteo and he replied with a yes.

I opened the door and got out, freezing in place when I saw the woman who was talking to the little boy. She had her back turned to me, but I knew her all too well not to recognise her. Blue turned to look at me and her eyes widened as soon as she saw me.

The very same reaction she had at the hotel five years ago. The reaction she had the night I caught her killing a man, the same night I found out the truth about her.

I looked between Blue and the little boy infront of her.

"Mom!" A little voice called out, breaking our eye contact.

I looked at the little girl who came running towards Blue and hugged her. She was the little girl from yesterday. But this time she wasn't wearing the glasses. Now I know why the little girl reminded me of Blue..

"Kiara what are you doing outside, and why aren't you wearing your glasses ?" Blue asked as she averted her attention from me to the little girl.

"To answer both your questions. Kai has my glasses, I came to fetch them." She smiled and the the boy, Kai, took out the glasses from his pocket and cleaned them up with his shirt. He put the glasses on for his sister and patted her head.

Kiara removed his hand and mumbled something along the lines of, you're really annoying. She finally turned her head to my direction and smiled. "Mom this is the big man from the restaurant I told you about."

"Yeah, get back class baby." She forced a smile. "You too Kai."

The twins nodded as they got out of sight. I didn't need calculations or tests to know that they're mine.

"Uhhmm.. I've never really thought about it." She answered. I looked at her suprised by her response.
