Camille POV
For the past two months the twins have been acting weird. They don't know I know, but they have been sneaking out of the house almost every night since Lora came by.
My stomach was so big I was about ready to pop. I had three weeks left until my baby was due. My doctor put me on bed rest so the twins brought me all my class work and turned it in for me.
School was almost over. I did enough to pass but I wouldn't be walking with my class. The twins might not either since it was around my due date.
I have been sleeping in Gideon's room since I was out on bed rest. The twins were getting restless so I knew they were sneaking out. I was having a difficult time even pretending to sleep since I couldn't get comfortable.
I got up after struggling and waddled into the living room. They stopped talking when I entered the room.
"You both know I hate when you do that," I say, sitting in the recliner.
I recline the chair and try to get some shut eye. Someone puts a blanket on me and I'm finally feeling comfortable. I start dozing until I hear the door open.
I sit up but no one is there. No one I can see anyway. I start to panic. I must have heard the door closing but there's no sign of the twins outside. I get up and waddle to the bathroom.
I do my business then wash my hands. I look into the mirror and see how tired I look. I make it back to the recliner and sit down. My back is killing me and my feet hurt. I wish they were here so I could get some massages.
I keep waiting for something to happen but nothing ever does. I walk back to Gideon's room and he's there sleeping. I go to wake him up and realize I must be dreaming.
Did I hear that noise in real life or in my dream? I instantly woke up. I was in the recliner still reclined and I had to pee. I was afraid to get up. I reached in my pocket and called Gabriel. He answered on the first ring.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"I don't know. I thought I just heard the door open. Did you leave?" I ask.
"I did," he said. "A while ago."
"Is Gideon with you?" I ask.
"He is," he says.
"Where are you? I think someone is here," I say.
"It's probably just Lora," he says.
"What if it's the murderer?" I ask.
"It's not," he says.
"How do you know," I ask.
"Because," he says. "Because Gideon just killed him.
"What? What do you mean he just killed him? I specifically asked you guys to let me handle it," I shouted, getting out of the recliner. "What happened?"
"Well-," he started, when I screamed. My water broke. I was going into labor.
"What is it?" He asks. "Camille, what's wrong?"
"My water broke," I say, freaking out.
"I'm on my way," he says.
"What about Gideon?" I ask.
"He's dealing with the police," he says.
"Please let him know," I say.
"I can't get over there," he says.
"Then call him or text him. Just let him know," I say.
"Okay. See you soon," he says.
As soon as I got off the phone with Gabriel, I called my doctor. He told me to relax and head to the hospital where he would meet us. Gabriel said that Gideon would meet us at the hospital as soon as he could.
