the ducks were now ready to start practicing for the tournament as team usa. chrissy couldn't have been happier to get away from all her home drama and focus on hockey for a bit.

the young girl was stood on the ice in the practice arena ready to hear about the new team members from tibbles. while the ducks weren't crazy about getting new teammates, chrissy was open to anything that could help them out.

"tell me about my kids." coach bombay turned to mr. tibbles on the ice.

"that's luis mendoza." tibbles directed everyone's attention to the boy wearing a blue south miami jersey. "he's from our miami club. a real speedster. incredible skater. clocked him 1.9 seconds blue line to blue line."

chrissy watched as the boy zoomed across the ice, stick in hand, back and forth from line to line. she had to admit, he was pretty fast.

"good lookin' skater." connie raised a brow. "very good lookin. what do you think, guy?" averman asked trying to push his buttons since connie and guy were an item.

"shut up, averman." guy rolled his eyes sending a nudge the boy's way. "oof." averman groaned falling on the ice.

"he has one minor problem." tibbles continued explaining. chrissy winced as she watched the boy skate flat into the wall, falling on his back. "has a little trouble stopping."

"i'd say so." goldberg nodded as all the new team members crowded around luis helping him up.

"yeah, i'm all right. i almost had it that time." luis sighed taking off his helmet. the ducks let out a few chuckles from his response.

"yee-haw! how is everyone? ya'll ready to play some puck?" a boy wearing an orange jersey and a cowboy hat came skating to the front of the ice. chrissy's eyes widened at his enthusiasm.

"hey look, it's hopalong gretsky!" jesse joked getting laughs from fulton and goldberg.

"that's dwayne robertson from austin. he's the best puck handler i've ever seen."

chrissy watched as dwayne did tricks flipping the puck around on his stick. it was a cool party trick, but the girl didn't think it would help a lot in a game.

"you mean for his age?" coach bombay questioned. "no, i don't." tibbles responded.

"hey, this is easier than ropin' hogs! yee-haw!"

"he does have a tendency to showboat." tibbles explained as dwayne continued to show off. "yahoo!"

"there's julie "the cat" gaffney." tibbles moved onto the next team member. it was a girl who seemed to be a goalie. chrissy was rather intrigued.
